  1. Thanks Brandon! The Datsun 240Z is an incredibly beautiful automobile design and you have certainly brought that out in your pictures. The best shots of the 311 pictures you took.....nice work!!!!
  2. I’ve found that some tasks are best left to a professional body shop. Why God created money!
  3. If you want it done correctly, as original, get Mike at Banzai to sell and stamp it for you. He’ll need a copy of your title with numbers for verification, They are perfect.
  4. Buy it from Mike at Banzai Motorsports and he’ll correctly stamp it for you. zzxdatsun.com
  5. It’s fun to take something ugly and make it beautiful. When you pull the pan, everything inside will look great. Soak the top cylinders in penetrant for days, take the crank out and drive the pistons out to the downside. A machine shop can bore the cylinders and make it look like new. I think your biggest problem will be pitting of the outside crankshaft journals. That being said, Zed Head is probably right. Give it away on Craiglist and let someone else do it?.
  6. Just got two more sets.....they are top quality. Very nice.
  7. Thanks Site.....this will be my last one.....cost more than my first Z.
  8. Looks much better in the stock color IMO Mike.
  9. Final resting place.......
  10. Hi Mike....It has a flat wood base that you won’t see.....will sit on 3 “L” brackets screwed in 2x4’s in the wall and a short wire cable up top to make sure it doesn’t tip over! Hope you’ve got everything under control....can’t wait till this virus is gone so we can head over to Hungary to see our dream girl! The one in Steve’s old white Z is yours ?
  11. Finished product......Z’s are cool eh? BTW many thanks to Zup for providing the door for my project. We’ve got some really great members.....it must have been a PITA to get it to Richmond.
  12. Exactly!!! After all, it rescued Ford with the Mustang remake, Chrysler with the Challenger remake and Chevrolet with the Camaro. Make it like Ford and Chrysler did.......make it look like the Z that started it all.....seats, dash, shape etc. The public is sick of slugs that get more exotic and heavy every year. IMHO
  13. He’s almost done. I dropped the mirror off this AM. It’ll come home this afternoon. It’s just incredible! IMG_0300.MOV
  14. Yeah Site.....great plan.....”You resemble that remark!” This is how WE picked the color.....our favorite IPA! Mike.....if she’d come over to my garage and pose, I’d change the color to orange.
  15. He sent two more....can’t wait to see it trimmed out!
  16. My painter only sent me one pic.......
  17. wioorders@gmail.com You can buy a set from one of our members at this email address. He has an ad in Classic Z. They are $120.00 total, shipping free. A great quality set of floor mats.
  18. My painter just sent these after block sanding....Safari Gold tomorrow.....I hope.
  19. Finally......Our painter is committed to finish my sculpture this weekend. I’ll take him the trim tomorrow and he should be finished Saturday....fingers crossed!
  20. Just received my set of Amco knock off floor mats. I couldn’t be happier...... they are beautiful! FYI Guy
  21. Been there myself.....we used a 73 front clip on the 71 car. You definitely should have a frame guy to assist. Came out perfect!
  22. Definitely gets the most compliments of any of my Z cars.
  23. I agree with grannyknot....post here too. Looks like a challenging restoration. You are very brave on the rusty one.......my favorite color for a Z!
  24. I agree with cgsheen1......there is some adjustment in the front lower valence. Most everyone that installs wider wheels will run into this issue. Just futz with the adjustment till you get max clearance.....I think this will solve your issue.
