  1. How many Corinthians does it take to do a Z upholstery job anyway?
  2. The only problem I've ever had with these was on an L18 in a 610, a REAL long time ago. The oil pump pressure relief valve jambed up and the oil pressure followed RPM like a tach. Then it got quite high, then It went to 0 and stayed there. It had sheared the tang off the end of the shaft. Point being, oil pump malfunctions can also cause spindle failure.

I have an ultra rare (ok, maybe not "ultra" but close, I guess it's not a red dot mirror...) 260z wiper motor. Really the only thing that makes it special is the one-year-only 6 pin black rubber round plug on the cable. Seems to work fine. Asking $100. PM me or z240@shaw.ca for details. Shipping is extra.
  4. taken with a dash cam no doubt.... Sorry...
  5. The 280 senders (side mount) have an "empty" sensor and an extra wire for that. Little red light on the fuel gauge will light up. Other than that they are identical (other than the connector) to the 240 senders if you need one and can't find a 280 sender.
  6. I can spare a switch or two if none appear closer to home.
  7. Just keep ALL the bits from the 240 clutch wise (disk, plate, throwout, bearing sleeve) and it will bolt up and work. Don't use any of the stuff from the car with the trans you're using.
  8. Other than then 82/83 turbo's that got that silly BW 5 speed, all the NA cars have the same transmission within their years. The ratios in the first couple of years are different than the later ratio's, most notably the over drive. 82-83 5 speeds are the sweet spot all around.
  9. Hmmmmm, that work bench looks familiar... I am embarrassed by its state of disarray, but it has been since replaced with a proper metal working bench. But I digress. I do still have a decent supply of shifter rods like the right hand ones if no one closer can help you. Drop me a note to z240@shaw.ca if I can help.
  10. Unicorn indeed. Alas, even I am bereft of such a mythical beast.
  11. Ok, now we see it Yes, very excessive. Pretty any visible movement is enough make significant looseness in the steering. Time for new rack bushings.
  12. Little delay there, sorry. Yes I have one. get me at z240@shaw.ca for details.
  13. That's me, simple.
  14. I'm an all-inclusive Datsun supporter. I've even touched a roadster. Once. It was just a one-night fling. It's over, really.
  15. More "Guests" than anything else are watching. Spooky....
  16. I've thought about making the bolt that mounts the fuel bowl into an eccentric/offset bolt with a 0.5 cm offset... Someday I'll have time to make one...., two I guess.
  17. Great to meet you finally and to help with the project! Note that appropriate entrance requirement was met. Wait a minute, I think you called me an antique!!!
  18. Let me see what I can dig up. I think I have at least one...
  19. Don't think they are any better at all, it's just a "look" and preference thing I'm pretty sure.
  20. Wires are now sold.
  21. The good news. I have two sets. Used of course. The bad news. Neiither set has the matching coil lead. I have no idea where they went. The happy news, first two people who want either set can have them for the price of shipping. While they look "ok", I guarantee nothing.... z240@shaw.ca if you want 'em.
  22. "Torn but still usable." By definition, if torn it is NOT usable. And DANG it, I just threw out the matching ripped and schredded letherette outer boot that would have been the perfect accessory for that rubber POS... Mind you, if that thing sells, I'm going to do the eco-friendly thing and put all my "useless" cast off's in ebay and retire rich!
  23. So you pull on the turn signal lever, the brights come on as well as the dash indicator, then you pull the lever again, and it switches to low beam and the dash indicator goes out. What's the problem again? The turn signal lever does not have two different positions which could be mixed up...
  24. The. "Eledlghting.com" domain is for sale. Their website is therefore toast as likely is the company unless they just did a name change. Sure you have the URL correct?
  25. Might shovel some snow off of it to prevent roof cave-in..... Will spring never come? Supposed to warm up considerably by next week, but will take 2-3 weeks of that to melt off the snow pack...
