3 pointsLOL!! Again? Haha!! Here's the (in)famous @Mike W and @GGRIII looking over GGR's first place winning 260Z. Yes... Gary's 260 beat out Mike's 260 for the first place spot. And nobody can convince me that it was as simple as the fact that Mike's beautiful Gold Cup Z was tucked safely parked inside one of the special display buildings (and most people didn't even know it was supposed to be considered for judging?). Veni, vidi, vici Oh, and I did mention that Mike has a beautiful 260 as well, right?3 points

2 pointsI also found the Langes to be painful. I also changed to Nordicas...much better. Head offered us National Ski Patrolmen a serious discount on their Jean Claude Killys celebrating his Olympic victories...great skis. Prior to them I had a pair of Harts, and before that wood Rossignols. The Heads were the best powder skis. GEEZER ALERT! Todays skis make it too easy. Anyone can ski, now which is why I don't any longer...too many people. too expensive...don't get me started on snow boarders... Mike, I actually had a ski rack on my '73 Zed back in '75 that attached to the left side of the hatch and held two pairs if skis. 4 studded radial snow tires made the car less squirrely in the slick...it could be an adventure... Cheers, Mike2 points- What is going on here?
2 pointsRarely is so much effort and skill expended on such an ill-conceived concept. I simultaneously admire it and hate it.2 points- The Ride from the Passenger Side
2 pointsNOW I can talk about riding in the new Nissan Z. During the Mitty, I reached out to Rick Goolsby from HSR to see if I could get a ride in the Nissan Z pace car for parade laps. He said that Sunday was available, but I had to be in the gathering area at 10:45. I think I was there at least 15 minutes early. Jason, the driver, showed up with the pace car, and several of us looked around the car. The Nissan Z looks great in blue, and I have a feeling it will be a popular color. The car was a nine-speed automatic Performance model. A big motivation for me to get a ride was to see how tolerable the car might be for a daily driver. Even with my less than svelte figure and knees that barely function, I didn't have much of any issue getting into and out of the car. Since we were doing parade laps and not pacing the start of one of the races, the speed was probably slower, but we did five laps around Road Atlanta. What I really appreciated was how quiet the car is. My current daily driver is a 2012 Mustang V6 Premium. The interior sound level to me was closer to a Camry than the Mustang. If you are wanting to hear a rip-roaring exhaust note, you might be disappointed. I have a 260Z with a loud exhaust note when I want to experience that. If you're looking for a sporty, quiet daily driver that you can rip around the track or mountain roads, I think this will fit the bill. I enjoyed going through the Esses at Road Atlanta, and Jason was driving in a spirited enough manner that the gimbal on my camera was frequently trying to adapt to the G loads. We topped out at freeway speeds on the back stretch of the track. The ride was good, and I could see taking the new Z on a long drive without feeling like I was turned into a pretzel by the end. It wasn't going to take a lot to convince me that I really wanted the new Z. I think the styling is a significant improvement over the 370Z. The ergonomics of the car felt good when I sat behind the wheel of the manual transmission version. The only things that could keep me from buying one in the next couple of years would be ridiculous dealer markups or quality issues with the car. I still need to edit the video I took inside the car. I just have to make the time to do the editing.2 points- Let’s talk about gasoline
2 points“I consider” was the word I used. We live in a world full of bias. I personally believe with all my reading and education that we this article is probably very accurate. We need energy to maintain our status on the global stage. The counter is a place you nor I probably want to live. I’ve been to every continent except Antarctica and more countries than I care to count. I’ve seen poverty all over and fossil fuels have benefited humanity in untold ways bringing people out of poverty. It is not without its consequences. Without fossils fuels we can’t get to a green sustainable energy future. It is literally the road map and engine to the future. You can’t build all the solar panels and windmills without it. You have to transition intelligently. We’re have to import the oil now already, why now use ours. We extract it cleaner and safer than anyone else and it enriches our population not Putin or the dictator in Venezuela or the extremist is the Middle East. This is just common sense… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points- AMCO Front Bumper Bar for '71 240Z
I still have my side mount ski rack, purchased in 1979 at my local Datsun dealership. It was made by a Canadian accessory company, Candar Products, out of Montreal. Here are a couple of pics from 2017 on a club run from Vancouver to Whistler. Got more than a few thumbs up on the Sea to Sky Highway. Cheers, from another Mike1 point- How to : interior lights ?
1 pointthe dome light. the map light ive never changed but that requires you to take the hvac panel out (4 screws)1 point- AMCO Front Bumper Bar for '71 240Z
I didn't mean to rob this thread but I enjoyed the comments. From 'wooden skis' to 'Lange Bang'; yea, she's the Lange bang all right!1 point- My two swiss S30Z Fairlady Restoration build thread
Only one picture today, but an important milestone in the project: The bodywork starts again! A few hours ago, i was at the new bodyshop to discuss the first steps and bring them some parts. The car is in good company and the workshop is huge. This is just one little messy corner where it is temporary stored until work begins next week (fingers crossed). The rest of the shop is clean and busy with many people at work. I met the panel beater the first time and he seems to be a really nice dude. They promised me to send pictures every now and then, and since they're basically just a little detour on my way from work back home, i guess i will have regular visits to them too 🙂 So let's hope for some updates soon...1 point- Let’s talk about gasoline
1 pointYou can buy non-ethanol fuel at your local boat dock. Ethanol is highly frowned upon in the yachting world for gas engines, and typically very good quality. I remember the days when I was running my grandfathers airport fuel business in San Diego. I used to buy 130 octane leaded gas for around 55 cents or so. I'd pull my Z right up to the truck, connect the static line, and pump it directly into the car. Those days are long gone and you cannot fill a car with aviation fuel (for tax reasons apparently). But my Z ran like a top and I remember seeing greyish soot in my tailpipe instead of the typical black soot. I still remember taking her out on the taxiway and driving as fast as I could (those days are ALSO long gone). I loved being 18-19 years old with a classic Z...1 point- Carlisle PA 2022

1 pointWe have made a choice to be dependent on Russia and the Middle-East Oil and that dependency has left to untold deaths and war. We have enough oil reserve in Alaska alone to provide for all our oil needs for over 100 years but we’ve made a choice not too. We can do It with environmental controls and strict adherence to rules and regulations. I love the outdoors…I love pristine forests but we can do this. We not ready to transition today….we need at least a decade or more to do it safely and without destroying the middle class and the economy. 1 pointEthanol's original reason for being used in automobiles was to reduce dependence on petrochemicals. In part to avoid the situation that exists with Russia and Saudi Arabia. Once the industry is created it tends to become self-sustaining.1 point- 280 floor pans
1 pointFriend that information came from a very reputable source. Those are latch points for a mechanism. Please don’t ask questions and then question the response when you receive one. I guess you will pick and choose what you care to believe. Good luck with your project.1 point- Carlisle PA 2022

Enjoying watching my son Brandon bring his new purchase back to “Like New” condition. BTW......If anyone knows where we can find any wheel flares, we’re looking hard. 1987 two door. Thanks Guy1 point- 280Z Steering Wheel
1 pointUse 2 component glue between the steel and the wood.. and .. use some professional wood glue between the wood. think that's the best way. That's what i did TO!! (Also out of mahogany!) ALL CLIFF... id·i·om /ˈidēəm/ noun 1. a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words (e.g., rain cats and dogs) 1.2 derived from all idiot (e.g., drink until eyes are floating)1 point- [2022] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Been helping a friend with his 280z, redoing the fuel system, correcting a number issues contributing to the heat soak common problem. Waiting on a new fuel tank from S30 World, decided to quit early today and ran out of table space in my shop for beverages. Found a new use for those big crash bumpers and went All Cliff on it. A tribute to him, I know he likes those ice cold dogs... @siteunseen1 point- AMCO Front Bumper Bar for '71 240Z
