  1. Well on the flip side maybe this will keep people from being out and about spreading the virus for a few days. We never cancel for weather....never. The passenger carriers will be we don’t. People want their stuff on time! We just have to suck it up and face the weather demon. Took this pic yesterday before the storm came. Was a beautiful night. Enjoy the snow. 2. +1 on the Molotow liquid chrome pen.
  3. I'm just east of Snowmageddon. We're still probably going to get double digits, but the Poconos are expected to get almost two feet. As the forecasts gelled, I took the opportunity to get myself mentally prepared for the end of Z driving season. My last drive was Sunday afternoon. It rained on Monday, and they salted the roads on Tuesday in preparation for this storm on Weds. So I took the opportunity to go out and drive around for a couple hours since it was the last drive. At least this year, I got enough warning to prepare and go for that drive. The snow blower is now unreachable in the shed out back because I spent the time driving instead of getting it out and ready. Haha!! The snow will eventually melt.
  4. Not dense at all Jon! I only need one, I shared the shipping costs with another guy to get it to Australia from the uk. 140£ (~200USD) to ship it!!!! By the time I finish the restoration I think I will have spent more in shipping than buying the car! Ryan
  5. I removed most of my coolant plumbing, SMOG equipment, and installed a euro balance tube to tidy up the engine bay. Since the car is a fair weather plaything, it doesn't need to be setup for temperature extremes.
  6. If you take it off at the pedestal (two bolts) then you don't even need to mark it - it can only go back on in one position, the position it came off.
  7. Ok, So Beverly Hills Auto evidently has no shame and plenty of brass!!! I would be ashamed to ask that kind of money for that car....
  8. https://www.amazon.ca/Molotow-ONE4ALL-Acrylic-Marker-703-102/dp/B01E7EG3NM/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1RMFWSO5SD0DS&dchild=1&keywords=chrome+paint+pen&qid=1608215841&sprefix=Chrome+paint%2Caps%2C205&sr=8-1 This stuff ain’t bad for doing the “chrome” lines on the console and HCP etc.
  9. There are several graphs like that in @blodi thread where he's trying to tune his Webers: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/ I don't know how applicable his Weber graphs would be to your round tops, but for example, they look like this:
  10. If they keep this up, I have several S30’s in similar condition that may have to go up for sale.
  11. Maybe it's just me, but I have never, ever, ever, never seen anything come out of a spray can that even barely resembled chrome. Even if it has "chrome" in the name somewhere.
  12. 1 point
The person who made these statements exemplifies the world's descent into internet-driven communications. Voices that were never heard before now have the opportunity to be heard -- right or wrong. And amplified in this particular case. And the definitions of 'right' and 'wrong' are being re-written while we watch. I have no answers. But I'm very concerned.
  13. You need to bleed the MC first which you can do either on the bench or in the car. You need to be able to see fluid come out of the MC and it will be messy so plan accordingly. You also might have an issue with the rod being too short to completely compress the MC.
  14. They replace the old 2-prong round can flashers that you are used to seeing. No wiring, no fuss, no muss, no stress. You need two. One for the turn signal circuit and one for the hazard light circuit.
  15. @zKars, thanks for the recommendation Jim, I found 4 in Quebec for $120 a piece, they look pretty sticky.
  16. Chas you are the man, the transmission man, bumper conversion man plus whatever else you do. I bow to you Sir! Isn't this you???
  17. $22,500 for the nice green 71 with the L28. I think the guy probably left thousands on the table because he showed a dirty car. Collector/investors want shiny. Lstepp4re had to jump in and pump a little bit at the end. Surprised he didn't make a bid. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-162/
