I haven't seen any comments about other politicians being "on the ball". Only about the obvious incompetence and idiocy of the President and the suckups he has surrounded himself with. I can't believe that you even wrote this post. Trump was warned about this pandemic very early and did nothing, see the link below. He gets his thoughts from the internet and Alex Jones and Steve Bannon. His inaction has led to many more people dying than should have. His efforts to get people to take hydroxychloroquine are an attempt to be able to say that he participated in a cure. If everyone is taking it who can say what made the survivors better? He is a 100% con-man and he always has been. The thread is about COVID-19. Trump is the main reason that United States of America has the worst COVID-19 epidemic in the world. We are #1 in sickness and death, and because of that Trump has to screw other countries that would normally get our help. His incompetence is affecting the whole world. Voting for Trump is voting for more death. The virus will still be around next year. He's not even a Republican, if you're one of those party followers. He was a Democrat when it worked for him then he switched parties when he saw a new opportunity. A new group to con. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/07/donald-trump-coronavirus-memos-warning-peter-navarro
  2. Thank you for the honest feedback. The dash looks amazing in your car.

Here is common sense advice from a real doctor with real front line experience to help you and those close to you. All the details you need to know, and answers to all the questions I've had. Best I have seen by far, in every possible way. I have a new hero, Dr. Dave Price
  4. Early Zs had 7". In '73 thru '78 they went to 8.5". I can't see an auto using a larger booster but I've never owned one. Go to amazon.com and use their "will it fit" tool.
  5. You could go with aftermarket. The Redline guys seems to know what they're doing. Use their vehicle finder tool. Looks like they have one. I'd trust them, their other products work well. https://www.redlineoil.com/find-products-for-my-vehicle
  6. From the factory service manual: From the owner's manual: At least they are consistent. As far as type Dexron: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/dexron-ii-iii-32776/
  7. - my mistake! But it's noon somewhere....
  8. That is a candle holder, but now you’ve got my mouth watering for some proper Irish whiskey.

I mis-wrote earlier. Apparently, Spain and Italy are still #1 in deaths. We're only #1 in death rate. so, we'll take that #1 spot in total deaths in a few more days probably. Here's a good site that breaks things down by country. We're actually doing pretty well in per capita terms. But we could have done so much better. Wasteful deaths due to stalling and distracting. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

A $3000 dollar investment is ridiculously small for Trump. Not even worth mentioning. That's a nice bottle of wine for guys at this level. It would be like mentioning I bought a six pack last night. It would be small for most normal investors. Just another chance to take a swipe at the president. If reporters went after both parties equally, it wouldn't bother me so much. However that will probably never be the case since 90+% of the media are Democrats I am tied of people in this thread taking swipes at the president and touting other politicians as being totally on the ball. I have watched many of the presidential updates and I don't see them the way some others view them. I voted for the man once and I will be again! I suspect the overwhelming silence from others on the forum suggests that others might feel the same way...
  12. Banzai has those connectors NEW for far less. WOW, 2 grand for those cables. I think I have 2 new sets in stock.

Pissing contests are kind of self-absorbed. Let's not do those. Your comment about "clouded judgement" is intentionally insulting. And I understood Pilgrim's post very clearly. You added some inference that wasn't there or maybe you just din't read it right. Let's not troll people in this thread. This is a serious issue.
  14. The design concept is three pulses per crank revolution. Right now it's just using a signal generator on the bench for proof of concept, but if I get energetic, I'll put a variable reluctor front end on it and connect it up the pickup coil on a distributor. In theory, it should work with points. All the math is set up for six cylinders and three pulses per crank revolution. I can get those pulses from either points, or the VR pickup in the later distributors. In theory. Haha!!
  15. It is really past time for an update... 35 pics of body work follow - a lot of work to resize and upload and format ?. As always, clicking on the images gives you a large version. Passenger side door (upside down - front door gap to fender is the vertical gap) - cleaned of primer, and touch up weld to fill gap (center pic): Fiberglass headlamp housings had not been primed yet - they were just sanded down. You can see the original primers that were used, first red, then dark grey. Following shows after guide coat and sanding of the two coats of high build primer. I broke through in lots of places. The panels were not nearly as straight as they needed to be. I switched to a higher quality, fine body filler for the areas that needed it, like the passenger door: Again, and I can't stress enough, if you want to spend less time and less aggravation on body work, spread your filler across large expanses of the panel (even the whole panel) instead of a little bit here and a little bit there like I always think I can get away with. Left rear quarter panel, one of the straightest panels on the car, needed some filler in places at this "late" stage of the game. Imperfections of literally a thousandth of an inch can be seen when looking at a glossy panel. Using proper sanding technique is also very important to achieving a panel without waves. 3+ more coats of high build primer applied over the weekend. Places that I knew were not 100% right got an extra 1-2 coats, for a max of 5 in certain areas. I am hopeful that guide coat and sanding process will get me where I need to be, but I suspect that the car will still require another round of primer and sanding after this one is worked down. Body lines are kept really sharp at this point in the game. They can be softened and made consistent later. The body line above the rear fender appears to be a bit light to me, indicating the area is a touch low. We'll see how things take shape (or don't) as the next round of guide coat and sanding progresses in this area. Damaged rear edge of rear quarter panel looks much better now: Door gaps (to fender, to quarter, to rocker, etc.) and alignments of all panels have to be done before you get to this high build primer stage. You can't be yanking and tweaking metal now. I am letting the primer dry for a week so shrinkage can occur. I may leave it for two weeks, and then do the guide coat and sanding process. Plenty of other work that can be done in the meantime.
  16. You have quite the cleavage Steve! I was in Home Depot today. About half and half employees and shoppers

I started graphing the John Hopkins numbers last week just to get a better idea of what is really happening in the US with the virus. There is a lot to be learned about the change in death totals in each state that give a good picture of what is going on. From the numbers: New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Louisiana are the big contributors to the daily death totals. New York seems to have leveled off, same with New Jersey and Louisiana. Michigan is going through a bad spell right now. The reason for the drop in deaths for April 5th was primarily due to New Jersey's lower numbers. I would say that most other states were relatively flat with California posting a drop. I think the high projections thought California, Texas and Illinois would be much worse. California is surprisingly low, fortunately. I owe Gavin an apology. Datawise, I try and record all data around 8AM Pacific time, however, New York updates around 10AM so I add them in later. Some states seem to update throughout the day...some just once a day. Wyoming still has 0 deaths. I think that says something about those wide open spaces. I also compared the John Hopkins totals with the Covid healthdata numbers. They are fairly close, but seems like Covid may have taken the weekend off as they are not as 'smooth'. https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections I did not chart confirmed cases, because that number is limited by test availability. I am expecting tomorrows numbers to be higher because of New Jersey and Michigan late day updates, but New York will have the final say. I think the market rallied today because of the one day drop. Don't know if that will continue tomorrow. On the Excel charts, totals are in white, daily change in yellow, start date is April 2.
  19. Air filter in, rad hoses in place and things are starting to look like they’re supposed to!
  20. Installed the 3 Row Champion radiator. I got a crazy deal on it a long time ago and it is for a 280ZX but the only difference is the centre drain. I modded the splash pan to compensate and now it fits great!
  21. Installed the dash this weekend. Overall, it's a great fit and had no issues with the fitment. I have to say, this is a high quality reproduction. The wiring was all labelled before I removed the dash, so it was just a matter of plugging it into the right connectors. While I had the dash out, I also installed the power steering unit and wired this up. Double checked all my connections and wiring and fired up the car. Everything worked including the power steering. So this had been a very productive weekend. Next weekend I'll complete the centre console, trim and install the bluetooth amp.
  22. I did my best to take the measurement where it was clean bare metal on both sides. Here is a picture from the underside. No sanding has been done, just solvent cleaning after removal of undercoating and the tar mat inside.
  23. Well it runs, but terrible. I have a massive vac leak, either from my balance bar not sealing or maybe a throttle body wasn't bolted down correctly. Even with throttle plates in the full closed position it runs happily at 900 rpms. So it's getting a ton of air from somewhere.
  24. I would agree with "thin-ish 18" as a practical answer given readily available replacement stock in North America. Zeddfindings replacement floors are 18 ga also.
  25. John, I had no idea you worked for O'Reilly. All the other stores (the usual suspects) I called on this hose just said "We don't sell that", or "What is that?". The lady that answered the phone at O'Reilly said "I'll order that for you and it will be here tomorrow. And, you don't have to buy it if it's not what you want". So, I was very happy with the parts and service I received.

  27. Couldn't get it with my vernier but a micrometer worked for the floor pan, to sound metal through a rust hole. The drain holes were not large enough. Measured .044" (1.12mm).
  28. Thanks for starting this thread. One detail I’m trying to find clarification on, related to the issue of the mask as a preventative measure in the OUTWARD direction, ie if the user has Covid-19, is if they expire any raw covid 19 virus particles, or only larger droplets of whatever the body produces for fluids that CONTAIN the virus. This is critical, because in the latter case, darn near any old piece of cloth is likely to useful in capturing the fluids/droplets. If tiny virus particles only stuff is also there, then you need a finer material that will capture them. And of course none of this is an absolute all or nothing action. 50% reduction is transferring the virus is HUGE compared to nothing. At least get the mask to fit well enough so that the majority of your breath goes through the cloth and not around it. Get used to the new normal of wearing a mask while out. Put it in the oven in the evening at 170-200F to sterilize and dry it out to get set for the next wonderful “what will happen today?” world. Now I just need to make a mask with a pair of BRE red/blue stripes and I’ll be safe and stylish.
