3 pointsSo the nearly 12” of snow today has cancelled my plans to strip the doors outside. i decided to rebuild my sand blasting cabinet instead! Bought new plexiglas and glass to replace the etched old stuff. Cut out a hole to place the led light in a better spot for more even illumination. Turned out pretty good! First I pulled out the old glass and plexi then I marked a hole for the light I then screwed the plexi down along with some sealant to seal it. and then replaced the glass and plexi lid. So much brighter!3 points- Cut Off Strut Tubes Wanted
1 pointThey are yours for the cost of shipping if I find them. They are in a pile of scrap metal outside.... under 22” of snow....1 point- Cut Off Strut Tubes Wanted
1 pointCool! Thanks for checking! And if you remember anyone else who has done the tube cut-off thing recently, could you tag them here? I tried to come up with forum names of people who had been through that, but didn't do so well.1 point- Fairlady 432 at Auction
1 pointThe seller of the Z432 has been a collector, also a owner of a Japanese old car shop . He owns two Z432R , also many racing goods has been sitting in the shop . So , the wheels which are shown in the picture would possibly be a real rally wheels , but anyway they are not original for the car . This car must came with a FS5C71B (32010-E8753 ) transmission originally, but in the picture it is FS5C71A for Skyline GTR. A later big hole of the tunnel is acceptable for a 71A type 5 speed transmission as we can see the rare transition from late 1971 up to Jan 1972 . According to my data , this car PS30-00521 was delivered to a female on June 9th 1972 . Just information for someone who is interested in the bidding. Kats1 point- 1973 Rebuild

1 pointHi Kats, Yeah I think it's best to restore it, then changing the body, then it would be more of a replica. Then again what is " original " in somebody's eyes ? There's a Mustang restorer in the village here, and they restored a 68 Shelby, only thing that was there of the body was the VIN plate, and like maybe 15% of the car, the rest is all new sheet metal ?!1 point- 1973 Rebuild
1 pointOh, by the way. I’m going to have a rotisserie to sell pretty soon. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile1 point- 75 280Z Garage Sale (with 77/78 parts also)
I only added the comment for verification. If he measures the openings it will tell something. I think that I have a ZX tube out in the garage that came with a 1981 engine. A good reason to go dig around.1 point- 75 280Z Garage Sale (with 77/78 parts also)
Well I don't know what it IS for, but it just doesn't look like a Z part to me. Not positive, but it looks like too many bends.1 point- 75 280Z Garage Sale (with 77/78 parts also)
A 280ZX hose will have a smaller opening at the throttle body. They have a smaller TB.1 point- 75 280Z Garage Sale (with 77/78 parts also)

1 pointI don’t have a reference panel so we are going to do our best based on the code info and this image I found on this site but can’t find now: I very much like the spicy habanero pepper vibe this gives off.1 point- 1973 Rebuild

1 pointI just went and had a look at that. They actually look very good. I will se how my end result is when it is done and make my final decision then.1 point- Fairlady 432 at Auction
1 pointHi Kats, What did you think/the seller says about the rally and Z432 replica/style wheels, in terms of quality/market...? I think the seller say they are for race only, but I think this is more about legality for use on Japanese roads (testing?) than being "poorly" made? I know you have said in a previous post, real Kobe Seiko z432 wheels (a set) are selling for up to 1,000,000yen, so is it not reasonable to think replica of both are going to be made when the price is what it is, and the possible demand? The Rally Kobe Seiko wheels, original, again, are a high price if you can find them. Regards Ian1 point- 1973 Rebuild

1 pointI think this is @HS30-H's nice thread on an S20 rebuild: https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/236658-1969-nissan-s20-twin-cam-engine-rebuild.html Very nice!!!1 point- Fairlady 432 at Auction
1 pointCould be a beautiful car, but will need lots of work. I think it would be harder to restore in a left hand drive market than a right hand drive market. I suspect there will be lots of little 432 specific parts that will be needed. Probably easier to restore it in japan than anywhere.1 point- Let's show vintage racing pictures. I'll start.
1 point- ABARTH Exhaust Any comments
1 pointLon I have the Abarth on my car. I bought it off of a member here and only have the muffler. I am using the stock resonator so I do not know how much difference that will make. It is a touch on the loud side, but with a nice deep sound. I have had a few people surprised that it is the stock motor when they hear it run. As well I think it is a very nice looking setup. Here is what it looks like on my car. Dan1 point- original blue engine paint colorcode?
Worst way to start a reply! I use the search first all the time and RARELY get the answer I seek. Today I searched Engine Color, Block Paint and Engine Paint and I got this thread - and a few others. At least after you "made your point" you - ironically - gave us the information we needed. Thanks. But if you're not doing a concours restoration, Dupli-Color's GM Engine Blue is very close.....1 point- original blue engine paint colorcode?
I dont know what the code is, but you can order it at Banzai Motorworks and the shipping bla bla. Dont know the colour code, but I read that Banzai it pretty close to original as it gets. Chas1 point - 1976 280Z Restoration Project
