Home made bumpers?
If you want them to be more durable then buy the Heavy Duty aluminum foil. That might be stronger then the OEM 70-72 bumpers.

Home made bumpers?
Two words: Aluminum Foil Again...telephone pole...very solid, sturdy, and durable.

Home made bumpers?
Or you could just do like on the 80's jacked up to the sky Toyota truck owners and cut off a section of an old telephone pole and just bolt it up. Bang, a homemade bumper!!! :stupid: :stupid:

Looking for a 81-84 diesel maxima intake manifold
I found it!!! You're in luck that I keep the kind of records I do (some call me anal). The name of the place iis All Parts Auto & Truck in Springfield MO. Here's a link to a quick search I did to locate their address and phone number. I gave them my credit card by phone and address and the part showed up on my doorstep! Very easy to deal with and clearly knew what they were doing. Give them a call and tell them what you need and explain that you know someone that bought the crank in 9/04 so you know that they should have the intake (that is of course unless they have sold it by now but this is unlikely as they had the engine for a while, this is the only reason I was able to convince him to part it out). :bandit:

Looking for a 81-84 diesel maxima intake manifold
Well crap! I went looking through my records and could not find what I was looking for. I found a junkyard that was willing to part out one of these motors for me a few months back as all I wanted was the crank so I know that they would have the intake (or at least used to if it hasn't been sold by now). And it would be in good condition as the engine was running prior to them tearing it down for me. If I do happen to come across the name and number for the place I'll let you know but it wasn't in my Z car folder where all my other paperwork and receipts are. Maybe I can dig through my credit card statements and find it!

Pop Up Ads
We use Zone Alarm at work and it seems to be pretty good (personally I think that this is over kill here as we are behind countless firewalls - I work for IBM); it's mostly used on our laptops and I only turn it on when traveling and using networks I do not know or control (i.e. I don't use it at home but I do in hotels or other companies). If you have DSL or even Cable (i.e. Roadrunner) I would suggest a hardware firewall too. Something like the Linksys or Netgear or other brand broad band routers available as they have a built in firewall and also allow you to share that connection to all the computers in your house (you may need additional equipment depending on how many computers you have and where they are located). Better over protected than under protected!!

Pop Up Ads
Not necessarily, many many sites have this set up when the pages load or on other events. Just go to geocities which I believe uses pop-ups to advertise and generate income for all the free websites they host for people. Yes, these are EXTREMELY hard to get rid of so make sure you protect yourself. There are ways around some of this. I have Kazaa installed on an old slower computer (PII 400) that is used for next to nothing so the pop-ups etc on it do not affect me. Furthermore, I do not leave it running...clicking close or the X does not do it, you must select it from the system tray and choose close from that menu. Next, I have also adjusted the settings so that downloads are not permitted from my system (I think it's called do not share my files). Plus if/when I download something I immediately move it off that computer all together. Yes, this program or any P2P software WILL slow down your internet connection when it's in use. Now I will warn you that Kazaa installs all kinds of crap with it that you can not uninstall otherwise Kazaa will not work either. This is another good reason to install it on an old machine you would otherwise get rid of. Hope people find this thread helpful and full of information.

Pop Up Ads
Don't get Ad-aware 6.0 get Ad-aware SE it's the newest version and catches MUCH more. In addition to Ad-aware you should also go ahead and get Spybot and run it (they catch different programs on your system). As a friendly tip, if you are running something like Kazaa then you should use extreme caution in allowing either of these programs to remove things as there is certain 'spyware' that Kazaa and others like it require to run properly. Catch 22. Also, if pop-up bother you as they do me get a pop-up blocker! You can get one for as little as $20 and it's well worth the investment.

Por15
And where would the average Joe find such a product? Also, how toxic is it (how bad are the fumes)? And since the topic of stripping paint has come up... Has anyone used the automotive grade Read Strip product? I saw it on the web somewhere a few months back and can not find a like now but am interested if anyone has used it and what their thoughts are.

Por15
I'm planning on doing the same thing to mine when I do my engine work. Can you please tell me more about what you did? How did you strip the old paint? How did you do your prep work? How did you apply the POR15 (bursh or spray)? etc, etc.

Need help parting out a '72 240Z in Dallas, TX
Over priced! There's no engine or tranny and it's rusted out so the body is trash. He wants way too much for it.

z car parts in Texas
Yes, they do have lots of parts. I have been there a few times and got some things. Jerry (the owner) is not always the easiest person to deal with on the phone and don't bother by email but once you're in the shop it's not so bad. Don't look here for any series I parts though, I have and do regularly and they don't have any.
