MidwestZ??
Well check out this person's profile!! They are in Kansas!!! http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/member.php?u=8705 Plus they signed that one post as Chloe! It's GOT to be her. Note in the profile she's a new member of that site, just registered on 8/13/2004 and last activity was on 9/24/2004 She listed herself as self employeed....with no more customers at this point.

need to replace front drivers seat floor bracket
I have seen a Z recently where someone just took some angle iron and bolted it to the remains of the seat mount then drilled holes for the seat to attach. This was the owner's way to "fix" the fact that the holes were ripped/torn out. Talk about cheap...but it's doing the trick I suppose...just as long as he's not in a bad accident with it as it may or may not withstand that kind of force.

shipping
You'll be looking at $600 on up depending on where it's coming from, who you choose to ship it, and if you want it on an open carrier or an enclosed one. I got a price of around $600 from Cali to Texas on an open carrier, and this was one of the lower bids I got.

Body side trim
I have several of these. Can you post a pic of your's so I know what to look for? I have a couple different styles and you will want one that matches what you already have.

70-71 Choke plate
Did you have him make you a mold and then make you a new pannel? If so you should have him make a few more and sell them on eBay yourself.

New to site
As everyone else has said...WELCOME!! On another VERY long thread it was mentioned that you may know of a company that is/was based in your area called MidwestZ. If you happen to know anything of them please let us know.

Any idea when or where!?

Williams Bay Wi. area
With the non-running condition and problems you have described if you are unable to get another Z person to stop by and take a look-see you may just be better off taking it to a mechanic.

280z door hinge replacement?
I believe I have these parts also! Before you go swapping these out or anything try cleaning and greasing yours up to see if you can get them to work. All of the grease may have dried up causing the part not to opperate any longer.

280z door hinge replacement?
I agree. If you find that you need the latches I have those for both sides of the car; again off of my '73 parts car. Shoot me a PM if you need them.

Crank Scraper - Worth it or not?
I saw this link over on hybridz and am curious. http://www.crank-scrapers.com/products/Datsun%20-%20Nissan.html What do you guys know and think about crank scrapers? After reading a bit on the site above it sounds like a good investment for the price...but then again they are the ones selling them so that's what they want you to think.
- Valve cover sealant?

280z door hinge replacement?
Junk yard or someone with a parts car. There are a few other 'companies' that may have them like Danny's Datsuns, Zed Findings, etc. If you need the passenger side hinges I have a set from my '73 parts car; the driver side sold months ago.

4 barrel carb adapter
No you don't. There are other options for the L6 engine which are probably still better than the 4bbl. You can get a set of performance SUs from ZT or Rabello Racing or go with a set of tripples (Webber and Mikuni are the two tripple set ups that jump right to mind).

where to find a 60 mm throttle body spacer
I was back over on hybridz today and what I saw was probably your post where someone was WTB this part, not selling one. Sorry, I didn't really pay that much attention the first time but I knew I saw something about the part you want.

awful time with Victoria British
This just happened to me but they were more than happy to make it right at their expenxe. Very good customer service and very willing to make sure they had the right matching parts before hand. The new ones are on the way as are the mis-matched pair back to them. This has not been my first transaction with them and I've always been pleased. Now some have also dogged on MSA and I have also had good luck and good experiences with them. I would tend to agree that it probably depends upon who you talk to but this holds true for any place you do business. I have never bought anything from Charlie, YET, but have emailed with him and he seems very willing to help and provide info before the purchase. I have recently bought parts from Danny's Datsuns and had a positive experience there...and a great price ($18 including shipping for a stock gas cap and the braided hose that goes from the carb balance tube to the engine block, both used but in good condition). I have dealt with MWZ and agree with everyone here, I miss Chloe!!!!!

where to find a 60 mm throttle body spacer

Ripped off?
That's a really open and potentially nasty statement. I'm sure that's why you made it and I see where you are coming from. My point is how far are we going to take it? If we agree to follow the letter of the law then no information nor image may be posted to this site at lease without proper credit and in many cases reproduction would likely not be allowed (in the case of posting a scanned image from a publication like the FSM). I think that we are all intelligent enough here to see where the intent is and if it should be considered ok or not. I for one appreciate it when a question has been asked and someone can post a pic or image of some sort (regardless of it's origin) along with an explanation when assistance is provided as this often really helps with understanding the explanation...a pic says a 1000 words. I hope that this helps clarify what I was thinking when I typed that.

Removing Rusted or Otherwise Stuck Nuts/Bolts
Thank you all for the info, I'll be going out and looking for either PB or Kroil very soon. Good idea Victor but I do not have a torch so the other products will have to do.
