  1. Hi guys. About an hour ago I busted up my first half shaft. There was a scary moment there when I thought it was the diff. So it's a long weekend and my car is off the road. Bleh. I'd like all those questions answered too Ivan. I have a feeling that I've got the 280ZX CV's but I can't tell. I'll get some pics tomorrow (too dark now) and gauge the full extent of the damage. How much am I looking at for the 280ZX CV half shafts anyway? Cheers
  2. If you can't find one Chris I'm sure you'd be able to make one. At least it'll be brand new this way.
  3. Email sent:classic:
  4. Only if you get the ones that do not require any drilling.
  5. Your galery is automatically created once you join. All you have to do is start uploading photos just like Mike said.:classic: Welcome to the club.
  6. One by one Rick. Let us know if you need a more detailed guide.
  7. Sounds like you had fun Rick. Can't wait to see some of the photos.
  8. [evil voice]You'll be back. Oh yes you will. muahahahaha[/evil voice]
  9. Thanks Carl. I think I'll defiantely get one. Will come in handy when car shopping in the future.
  10. Sorry to jump in on your thread like this but I wanted to buy one of these gauges and was wondering how much they are? Keep in mind I'm in Australia. Cheers
  11. The short of it is, to be legal the tyre width has to be a maximum of two inches wider than what the car came out with originally. Sooo... I'm looking for something that says the '73 240z came out with 205's as an option. I don't like my chances.
  12. Aargh. I'm screwed. Why couldn't it be 205? Did they ever come out with wider tyres as an extra? It's a sportscar for God's sake. How can it be sporty with 195's? :disappoin Thanks Geoff
  13. ROFL Classic. I've heard this one before. Love it.
  14. Rather than starting another thread I thought I'd hijack this one. Hope you don't mind. I need to know what the original tyre width the 1973 240Z's came out with on the back for engineering purposes. I think I might be in trouble on this one. :disappoin
  15. Yeah, I'll come and meet up with you guys at the next meeting. Can't believe the meeting went on for that long. How many people turned up? Sorry to hijack yor thread Nigel. I won't do it anymore.
  16. He used to work for Nissan and now works for BMW. He's been around the car scene and in particular Skylines for a while now. Owns a 33T atm but this doesn't mean he's right. He just sounded so sure of himself too.
  17. I had a '72 and it did not have hazards. Own a '73 now and it does have hazards.
  18. Hi Cuong. I was speaking to a friend of mine about your car and he tells me that the exact figures for the 32 were; 200 brought in 120 sold 80 shipped back These figures put Nissan Australia off at the time thus we were never to see the Skyline in a showroom floor again.
  19. Shame about the car Nigel. Hope it's nothing too bad. I was stuck at work until 6:30 tonight so I had to give the meeting a skip this month.
  20. Hi Chris. Welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll find yourself speding more and more time here as you get to know everyone. It's a great bunch of geeks so make yourself at home.:cheeky:
  21. Mike is on probably right. Did you get to have a look inside the tank last time? Or check the lines? btw, please don't call your car a he. She's not into crossdressing you know.
  22. Lachlan, try http://www.brinkster.com/ They are the best free host you will find. No pop up adds but not sure about PHP. The best way to find one is to go through a Host Search site like http://www.hostsearch.com/ or http://www.tophosts.com/ or http://www.hostreview.com/ There are plenty of host search sites so I'm sure you can find waht you are looking for.
  23. I'll have one too please.
  24. You've just described my car with a few differences. My dream car is something very simmilar to yours by the looks of things but a no frills version. I'd forgo the A/C and sound system and go for performance. The sound and heat of an eight along with the smell of petrol is part of the experience for me. As it happens I've just bought my dream Z (not dream car though, that's a GT500 Fastback). It's very close to what I'd have done to a Z if I had the money. Only a few things need changing to personalise it to my taste. Red or Black 240Z 1 grumpy streetable 350 Chev Custom extractors 1 3/4in Custom dual 2 1/2in pipes 5 or 6 speed manual until the power gets too much then auto Ford 9 in but since that's not possible an R200 would do Custom adjustable suspension Subframes and 10 point cage Wide wide wide tyres. Can't get wide enough. Need that traction. Original dash decked out with Autometer replacement gauges Custom interior in a dark blue/black/grey with comfortable buckets etc etc
