  1. Does anyone have a complete list of parts suppliers in Oz? If there isn't one I wouldn't mind starting one. My idea is this- -post every work shops address, numbers, weblinks, contacts etc Australia wide. There's no reason why we shouldn't include resources that will deliver to Aus as well -I'll collect them all and organise them into an excel sheet where they can be sorted by the individual by state, type etc -when I have a decent set I will ask who wants it and e-mail it to them. The collection in this thread alone would be handy to have as well. Sooo, please post all your resources:classic:
  2. A 26TT in a light shell. Now this I would like to see. Cuong, how much power are you putting on the ground?
  3. I've got the same wheels on my car. I wonder who manufactures them.
  4. Are these Minilities too?
  5. Thanks guys :classic: Well, answer me this and I'll tell you how much it was. Would you pay over $10k for it (from the limited information you have)? Seeing as the other ones I saw were in a different ballpark condition wise but not too far off the price I thought it worthy enough for me to stretch the budget a bit and save money down the track. I was always going to try to own an original 240 either by buying one close to it or semi-restoring one. This one just fell in my lap and I'd have been an idiot not to buy it.

  7. Just had to share with you all. I've just put a deposit down on this little beauty. It's not registered but it should be on the road by Tuesday making for a perfect Xmas present. According to the owner, Carlos from Sportsclassic Cars in Sydney, it's never had any rust in it's entire history and I believe him as I've been through it all and even had it on his hoist. It's had a bare metal respray not long ago but only on the outside. This has left the original paint in the engine bay, around the doors and all the other usual places. The quality of these unpainted spots shows that it's never had any rust. It's an ACT car so it was away from the sea which helped immensely. The underbody is straight as, everything original and it's in great overall condition. Well, better than any I've seen so far by a country mile. It came off the production line as an auto but it's just received a 280 or 260 5 speed box. I forget which. It's a 11/72 model so it's just turned 30 and been classified as a classic. Basically, I'm over the moon with my purchase.

  9. I see. :stupid: Thanks for that explanation
  10. Just out of curiosity, what was the reserve?
  11. ...so has anyone done a conversion on a 240z? is it a mirror conversion?
  12. ...and you didn't buy it? it'd be worth it just to tell the story on a Friday night at the pub.
  13. i'm in the same boat. the day that i decided i was going to buy one i was out under the harbour bridge where some nice cars meet on the weekends. anyway, i'd only ever noticed one on the road that i can remeber and being rare over here too i was blown out of my socks when this deep red one drove past. as soon as he'd parked i went over to talk to him and man was this car mint or what. he'd just finished it after a couple of months in the shop where he spent over $35k on it. Loud, proud and quick was this car. btw, i'm thinking of importing one from the US but i'll leave that as a last resort.
