  1. Somebody redid their horns a while back and documented it really well. Maybe Site can find it?
  2. @S30Driver Jim would you happen to have a good roof on your part out? PS Welcome back!

I know that's not true! I've met you. Your not a real person, you're an engineer! Totally different 😉
  4. JB weld is very shape-able. It does best in compression scenarios

I agree! I would come up with a method to prevent new registrants from posting pending approval. @Mike might need to solicit help from a forum member that has the time and skills to help filter out this mess. I just waded through 6+ pages of crap to find the 3 or 4 new posts... 😞
  6. Possibly a sound dampener? Maybe the disintegrated component was for sound absorption?
  7. I would not use steel wool! It can leave residue which will rust
  8. The advantage to a windshield mount is when you are referencing that map you still have peripheral vision out the windshield versus looking down at the floor of the car...
  9. Maybe they wrapped it for the movie? Easily reversable
  10. I doubt it but KFvintage might make it for you
  11. Be mindful of how you weld on the chassis. The chassis is designed to move in certain places and over welding can inhibit that movement and cause problems in other places. I'm not interested in a full frame unless I'm gonna race the car and need it to get through tech
  12. I have found Summit delivers the next day if reasonably close. Super service!
  13. Can you elaborate on who some of the people photographed with him are?

So i went to my local paint shop and had some single stage made up to match an alternator bracket that still had some factory blue on it. Cody got the block all taped up last weekend but ti was too cold. S o I sprayed it this weekend. It's much darker than it looks in the sunlight. Much more like the paint in the can looks. He is planning on working on the rotating assembly next weekend
  15. It would be great to cut the post on the front frame rail differences and pictures into a separate frame rail thread to make them easier to find in the future

So spoke to Rebello We need to use the head gasket from a Z24. It will need some modification to provide all the water access ports. On another point, should we Glyptol or not? Is it worth it on a motor that is not an all out effort?
  17. Yes, they will cut you The older I get, the easier I bleed. Tis merely a flesh wound... 😉
  18. I have this same set and they are great. I love them
  19. I use the high heat setting on my heat gun. I have also found those paint curls can be razor sharp when cooled
  20. That's a nice "P" car!
  21. Not great, but I've seen worse get fixed
  22. https://www.240zrubberparts.com/
  23. It's very difficult to glass things onto the car and make them stay long term. Just too much vibration for the connection

I have the book but have not checked it. I probably should. I thought I would call Rebello too for his thought, since I need a recommendation on a head gasket too. I'm not sure the standard L20b gasket has a big enough fire ring to cover our punched out cylinders

So I have a question. I have heard that the rod bearings can lack sufficient oil because one main bearing feeds two rod bearings. There was a hack I came across to rebore the galley feeding the main larger. They suggested 1/4" but it looks pretty close to that. Thoughts??
