NICB.org Scroll down and you'll see the "search vincheck" window. It gave me a "theft and salvage record". I would assume if you want other info you may have to pay. Have fun
  2. I don't think it's a matter of prioritizing the V8's over the L6's as much as a design change that improved the fit for one and had little impact on the other. That said, there is room for improvement in the design, and credit to Silvermine, he is looking at modifying the plate to accommodate both with no negative impacts.

Hmmmm.... @siteunseen now we know the complete story!

Right now, I'm planning to be there. I already reserved my hotel room.
  5. Updated the file to version M. @wal280z is now the file owner so he can update the next time without needing to wait for me. ?
  6. His timing is maxed out looks like. Why are you running a points distributor? Just curious.
  7. I didn't watch the video, but I am guilty of hoarding old brake fluid in various containers, and recycle that stuff when I visit the track. If there is no dedicated 'brake fluid only' it goes in with used oil container.
  8. @Mike - It appears as though I cannot edit the title of this thread. Can you? I was able to update the title in the download section, thank you for transferring 'ownership' Thanks!

Over ride bar would be for blew eyed scope? One blew east the other blew west.
  10. Z Fever would be good. You might try Amtex Cylinder Head and Casting, 1412 N 22nd Street, Tampa. (813) 248-9429
  11. So I ordered them from the eBay seller. He says they are made from ABS. We’ll see how they work.
  12. Maybe Mike can rename this thread “77 280Z colour wiring diagram” to avoid confusion with other years.
  13. http://www.koni-na.com/getattachment/NorthAmerica/News/News-Releases/KONI-Sport-Performance-Dampers-for-Classic-’70-83/37102_KONI_Datsun_Z_Motorsport_PressRelease.pdf.aspx/?lang=en-US Wow! Thank you Zed for that information. This could be a game changer. I just got off the phone with Motorsport Auto and the rep said that yes, they have partnered with Koni and are very soon coming out with NEW Koni struts made for the Datsun Z cars. Woo Wooo. He said they are putting all the finishing touches on the marketing campaign and finishing up testing and then they will be ready to go. I asked him if he had a date or even a ballpark date they would be available but he declined and just said, very soon.
  14. I just updated the file here to version M.
  15. Thank you Siteunseen, that Atlantic z post is straight money for the conversion. Thank you also for the tip with the t/c rod nuts. Ill have to add that to my parts list also. That's a nice orange 72. Maybe one day mine will look that good.
  16. Pics from 1972. Got tailgated at a stop light....went back with black laquer.
  17. Found this picture of a street drag race from 1970. Looks like it was at the University of Washington (Seattle). Posted by Tom Doohan on Facebook.
  18. Nissan used sound deadener of 2 thicknesses. The thickest was used in the cargo area. The 2 part #s are G5930-89902 and G5930-89904. I'm sorry but I don't remember which is which but they aren't very expensive.
  19. Wow... This thread is a treasure. Gave me something to do during snowstorms here in Michigan. If any of you need some help with dodgy Chinese companies I can help clearing up things. Being a Chinese I'm not proud but I had dealt with them quite a while now. Kameari have some pretty cool products like the tensioner. Never go into their store cuz when I walked in wanting to buy a damper I ended up with a bag of stuff and an empty wallet! Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  20. Hey Kats, Found more photos of it. I've definitely seen it with the Kobe Seiko wheels, but can't find a photo of that!

I sprayed the front wheel wells with truck bed liner, then followed up with a light dusting of color. No problems with paint adhesion. I avoided the spraying bed liner in the shock towers as I did not want to provide a place for dirt, moisture, ...etc. to begin a build-up. The towers were done with POR-15 topped by brush-on color. 22. I am 6ft tall, Mr.K is taller than avarage for his generation . This picture was taken when my blue 240Z was under the restoration. 18 years ago , I was young ! Kats

To emphasize to all --- The ZCON judged car show and the ZFest (People's Choice car show) will be held INDOORS in AIR CONDITIONED COMFORT at the Hilton Convention Center. This will not be like it was with the sweltering heat at Memphis in 2015 or at Austin in 2017. It might be hot outside, but baby its going to be COOL inside! Can't wait to see you guys again! Come on down for some Ozark hillbilly hospitality!!
  24. also clear your fuse box of all fuses, remove the box and soak in vinegar for about 20 minutes, wash it out in warm water and blow it dry. Install new fuses and see what you have. I've seen more aging Datsun problems solved by this simple step than I can count.
