  1. Oh those guys, I prefer more sane individuals LOLOLOL wink wink, nudge nudge!
  2. Yeah, that @siteunseen guy, you can tell what kind of person he is just by his ranking......right Cliff?.?
  3. Good move. With CL cars, always establish the seller's insult level. Looks like the perfect car for a guy who goes by the name Johnny Danger. Dennis
  4. big fail #1 about 2 meg over about 2 feet, clearly not conductive enough. Guess I should have figured that, don't think graphite is a very good conductor, couple that with thin line an very thin deposit... I will look into those other products. I was encouraged by how nice a line I was able to get. I googled to see if anyone had tried to reproduce an entire grid, but could only find the small fixes for breaks OR the complete grid that is solid looking copper strips that have to connected in series to prevent too much current. Seems like the best way IF a good conductor can be found, would be to have a stencil made up, position it and then shoot the whole thing in one pass.
  5. I will have carpet over the entire back end but I lined the inside of the cubbies.
  6. Grabbed a few photos from the CL ad... Looks like the existing owner is a fellow flyboy.. ? (green headset in the back)
  7. Remember - you are known by the company you keep. We'll always have Austin!!!
  8. @Zedyone_kenobi - did mine on the cheap and refinished it myself.
  9. If you're looking for sane people you're probably on the wrong forum, just sayin.....?
  10. Of course, that was when he let me get into his car and took me on a tour of the local brewpubs...
  11. I would get these guys opinion, @jfa.series1 and @Zup They have show car skills, resources.
  12. I've personally witnessed questionable judgment on his part.
  13. While I meant the questioning of his trustworthiness in jest, you make a good point. His ranking actually outranks the combined ranking of the three no votes. ?
  14. Will there be any option to get lens and frame ( not chromed) . I would love to have a pair that I could black out the frame.
  15. A $1,400 difference between a clean body/paint/interior and a heavenly modded one with questionable issues is a no brainer for me. You couldn't paint the black one for anything near that difference, not to mention the flare issues and tail lights, even if you did it yourself. If the Silver guy says no to 4K, I'd try 4500. You would still come out ahead in the long run. My other 2 cents....
  16. Hey, you don't get a name like this by making good decisions.
  17. 1 point
So, I know it was Porsche, but what model? I've got a Boxster in the garage and I've already measured the seats. Boy... Would SWMBO sure be surprised if she went out one day and found her seats weren't in her car anymore!! PS - Sorry, OP for the thread jack. I think we're almost done.
  18. Maybe calk and coating flak off inside the motor.
  19. So speaking of anal retentive, let me point out that the 1970, 1971 and 1972 owners manuals were reprinted in 1997 for the Vintage Z program. The printing date for all the manuals is on the rear cover. If it says 1997, it's a reprint and there is no difference from the original printing.
  20. Hey guys, thanks for all of the quick help and suggestions! I actually lucked into finding the issue. I saw online sometimes relays will rattle like that if they're getting a little power but not enough to lock in place. I started checking all of the connections from the battery toward the fuse box and found one spot that looks like it got a little frayed/pinched at some point, fixed that and the buzz went away and power came back to all systems! Thanks again!
  21. I gotta stop looking at car pictures and actually do some work this week, but I'm pretty fond of the slate blues right now.
  22. I pitted with those two cars that my buddy owns. It was truly a great 4 days for me. So many great Datsun/Nissan race people there. The famous and the not famous. Morton did great in his class, but Larry Cooper was right up there too in his 240 witha 2.4 ltr E88 head. He drove the wheels off it. All and all it was a weekend to remember. Thursday night had a great conversation with Jim Frederick, always great to see him. A special weekend indeed. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Classic Zcar Club mobile
  23. I took the car out to the local fairgrounds this evening where there was a small car show going on. The gentleman standing next to my car is Randy Todd. He was the third owner of my car. I think I'm owner #6. He purchased it in California in 1985 and brought it out to Georgia in 1991. The car helped him teach his two sons how to drive a stick shift.
  24. Rolled her out today to get some parts out of my tiny garage. Put the rear spoiler on with tape to get an ide of what it will look like (still needs some tweaking and to be painted).
