well, I am finally getting to the heart of my disappearing brake fluid problem on the 72 240z. Looking at the back tire I could see some residue on the back side of the drivers side rear wheel. It's been several (over 12) years since I have worked on Drum brakes. The rubber line still appears nice and dry. I pulled the drum off and found the shoes and inside of the drum nice and soaked in brake fluid. Anyway, I would still like to confirm with the community, I have a blown wheel cylinder. I had a similar problem in the late 80's (ugh) which turned out to be the steel line on the backing plate.. I can't remember if that leak made it all the way into the drum though.…

Hello, We waste a lot of tires and I know someone can use them. We use 23x9x15 slicks in several compounds from Goodyear. We'll usually use them one weekend. They aren't near being worn out but that extra .1 secs might not be there. Please let me know if you are interested. Greg Ira

Picking through the Performance Wheels catalogue the other day, I noticed they are now making the Superlite (minilite style, which the Watanabe brigade have so embraced) and Challenger (like the Bathurst Globes) both in a 15x10, with -26 offset. Yes, folks, mega deep dish wheels off the shelf to fit your GTR replica. When I still had my 240K I struggled to find anything that would come close to filling out the flares. Even the 15x8 +4 was going to be way short of filling the guard. These should retail for under $300 per wheel. Not bad comapred to what some people pay for unknown condition second hand stuff from Japan (not to mention potential quarantine issues with impor…

Does anyone know if a person can buy these factory direct? I want to change my wheels from 14" to 15" or possibly 16". My local tire and wheel dealer said if they could get them from the manufacture they would order them for me. That way I could get my tires and wheels together and would not have to put out all that money at once. Thanks

do you think that the rear two shoes in our 240K are both working ??? of course No. the right shoe of the RH and the left one on the LH are doing nothing !!!!!!!! I opened rear drum and with the help of a hand oil pump, I linked the system and started applying pressure ... I saw only one shoe pushed by the cylinder ( the same one that is used for hand brake ) while the adjacent is doing nothing !!!!!!!!!!! http://www.upload2world.com/pic17/upload2world_ead48.jpg' alt='upload2world_ead48.jpg'>

Hi enthusiasts for long time ago I thought that the rear cylinder assy. is 13/16" dia , as what is written on it ( My 240K is 1976 ) I opened the cylinder from another 240K ( in my junk ) surprisingly I found the cylider 7/8" !!!!!!!! so which is the original ? the 240K which I have in my scrap collection run for two years only ( 1977-1979 ) as the scrap owner told me so I believe every thing on it is original .. if any one can check his 240K ?? http://www.upload2world.com/pic17/upload2world_dd4bf.jpg' alt='upload2world_dd4bf.jpg'>

Front brake calipers of a toyota 1994 + forerunner Hilux LN,RN, VZN, KZN 106/130 HZJ75 Landcruisers The caliper must be a 4 piston type, each piston must be the same size, not the 2xlarge / 2xsmall type must have 'S13 ' stamped on the caliper (above the brake line fitting), not S12 the S13 suits 35mm vented discs thanks, Nigel

I don't know if its what is normaly called a Tension Rod or a bush that goes ontop of a strut tube? Heres a pic from the website and partnumber SPF0927K Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Will

I stumbled on this site, so far as I can tell, it shows various Wats in varying sizes on a wide variety of Datsuns/Nissans. I thought it might be of interest, less for the rims, more for the thoroughness of models depicted. There are a lot of photos, and it will take some time to load, but it's worth it. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/userspage_new/nissan.htm&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=4&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Ddatsun%2B200zg%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-US You'll be at the end when this one shows up, gotta love the side pipes. Also, each thumb has multiple shots, have fun l…

Who has data on tire width fitted to any and all C110 cars, regardless of variant or market? Related would be track of vehicle. We know about the 1.3 rule but .... I have 245/45ZR16 on front and 255/45ZR16 on rear, neither of which comply with the 1.3 rule. However because I have used 280zx front hubs (they are almost identical to C110) and 280zx rear stub axles (not quite a bolt in but not hard) it appears that I may get away with using the widest tire from the 280ZX as the base size. Naturally DOT would prefer to have C110 specs as the base so that a precedent isn't set. So, the ideal is to be able to show that a C110 SOMEWHERE had an optional tyre size at least 195. Ca…
