Did you try your flashers? That will verify good bulbs. Easy enough to change the flasher.

@chaseincatsCan you explain why you did not go wit the seal and peal adhesive? Just curious. If it did not work you could easily remove it. just curious at this point.

Datsun Spirit stage 4 requires 93 octane. Not sure where I can find non-ethanol where I live.

@SteveJ Not sure you want to tackle this one…Unless there’s another thread out there, Pretty sure it was just straight hard wiring the two harnesses with a color combination between 2 manufactures if I recall.

Cheap caulk gun is all you need. Go to Harbor Freight and pick up a cheap one for a few bucks. I’d go with the recommendations that are proven. IMO

I’ve had great luck with them other than they don’t answer the phone any longer. So much for old school ordering.☹️

Adhesive doesn’t deform as far as I know.

I think he may be talking about applying a sealant similar to windshield adhesive to the new gasket.

At this point I’d be inclined to replace everything that you bought from him. Not worth the chance. Did you replace the pistons as well?

I guess the next variable would be,,,How do you determine if you have a 73 240 radiator. A lot can change in a 50 year time period.

Need a lot more info than what you have given. Pics, source of where the carbs were sourced etc. Anything you can add is helpful. Reasoning for replacing them etc etc.

If you read further back in the thread he has lost a quart of oil. IMO carbs are not part of the equation. These carb’s from what I understand just got back from Z Therapy.

@Captain Obviousby chance if the builder used chrome moly rings, Don’t the cylinders have to be honed differently than standard rings. We still don’t have information on what was used on the original rebuild.

Never heard back on the plug condition per cylinder

Possibly an oil ring,Just throwing that out there.
