What do you think these are worth?....
I sold a set of "near new" or "as new" - - but not NOS in the box - set for $1500.00 cash from a local buyer. {so no 10% EBay fee}. I'd put them on EBay with a BIN of $1800.00 and a reserve of at least $1600.00 plus shipping. You might have to ship them to Japan, or a buyer here will then resell them in Japan. {$1600.00 on EBay will net you about 1440.00 minus your PayPal fees etc.}. BTW - there is a very good chance - they would sell at once for the BIN $1800.00. FWIW, Carl B.

old cars that small or new cars that big ?
I was over at a friends home the other day. He has perhaps a dozen cars in the garage at his home. What struck me as very interesting - was that he had his 1930' something Packard parked beside his 2013 Cadillac CTS. As we looked at the Packard - it seemed huge! Then as we walked around it - I looked at the Caddy. The amazing thing was - they were both about the same over-all size. The Caddy roofline was a couple inches lower, but the Caddy was just as long, just as wide. They even both had 19 or 20" wheels. The Packard however seemed to have far more room inside. If they hadn't been sitting side by side, I would have bet money that the Packard was at least 50% bigger.. FWIW, Carl B.

The Nissan headlight covers usually sell used for $1000.00 or more. NOS - $1400 and up. The Aftermarket covers, like BRE & BSR used to sell back in the day, and which are I believe still avaliable were around $65.00 the last time I looked. FWIW, Carl B.

A review of what's gone - period 240Z exhausts
Hi Haitham: Since this discussion thread is about after-market exhaust systems - I would suggest that you start a new discussion thread - and put your question there. To get people's attention - you should make the "Subject Line" - actually represent the subject of your question. Something like; "Need Engine Swap In Oman" Secondly - If you are sure you have a carburetor problem, perhaps a better solution would be to buy a rebuilt set of S.U's and install them. Much easier than an entire engine swap. good luck, Carl B.

Yes - contact info in the Classifieds is Current. It seems to me that Bill said the engine was already overhauled.. You can check that when you call him. I believe he said he had already stripped the undercarriage as well.. you can check that too. Go get it Zedyone... if nothing else you can make a good profit just selling off the parts... MUST GO - HLS30 00201 - Project
Anyone Close to St. Louis? How about Eldon. MO... {aka Lake of the Ozarks}? That's about 120 miles West of St. Louis. I think this has been discussed before - but can't find the thread.. Anyway... Bill Reagan - author of "How To Restore Your Z Car" - has a Project For Sale. HLS30 00201 Stripped and most of the body/metal work done. Complete Car - but completely disassembled. I belive the engine has already been overhauled. Bill thinks he has $10K worth of relatively rare parts - used and some new. He is moving - and has to clear out his storage area... $3999.00 takes everything - the Car and all the parts - bring at least a 20 ft. trailer.. Might be a heck of a deal for anyone that wants to restore a 69 production year example. I'll get his contact info if anyone is seriously interested. FWIW, Carl

L28 Swap into 73 240z help!
The first thing I would check for - is restricted fuel supply. Change the fuel filter, then put a fuel pressure guage in-line with the Carb.'s. Second, would be the SU Float levels.. Pretty easy to rule out Carb/Fuel problems first - then move on to ignition problems. You didn't say where you got the SU's.. nor did you indicate what condition they were in. Did they run fine on the L24 to begin with? FWIW, Carl B.

I don't know why people insist on calling a Custom Car or Street Mod Car - fully restored. Custom, he'd be lucky to get anything near $10K. An actual bone stock - properly restored 73 510 2dr.... I don't think it would take long to sell one for $16K. A 71...perhaps, but the people I know seem to want one of the more limited production 73's. FWIW, Carl B.

- yea, that is what my reaction was too. What kind of thinking leads someone to screw up anotherwise pretty nice interior and clean center console by putting screws in to hold the choke assy.? Nonetheless, - it might be a car to go look at. Many of the items could be pretty easily address, if indeed the paint and body check out. Was there a Buy-it-Now to begin with? Good eye Jim... {the heater hose might have had a Fill&Flush in it at one time}. But most of the rest if the items are just "sluck" jobs. Carl B.

1975 280z Turbo in Miami, FL-- Worth it? How much would you offer?
I'd pass on this one. What is your Budget for buying a Z? I seriously doubt that you will find a presentable 70-78 Z in Florida for less than $6500.00. Even then it will need your time and money - lots of both. Hate to say it but - buying a First Generation Z is no longer an inexpensive undertaking here in Florida. Want something that you can get in and drive from one end of the State to the other? Something you could park at a local club meeting or Cars & Coffee and not be ashamed of? You'll spend $16K+, either up front or you'll have that much in it by the time you get it to reliable/presentable condition. FWIW, Carl B.

What I got done today.
It took me several hours to change the inside rear-view mirror in one of my other cars yesterday. A process that is supposed to take about 20-30 minutes. You have to remove some of the interior trim pieces around the windshield - get to some wiring - etc. The mirror is electric - uses and electronic eye to "self dim". Then uses an electrical charge to change the state or a fluid in the mirror. {needlessly complex}. However - in that process some interior clips, that are supposed to be fastened to the trim - unfastened themselves and fell off. So had to stop, go to the Auto Parts Store and get some epoxy..then reinstall the clips - after the epoxy set up.. With any of these "Do It Yourself " Jobs on older cars - if it ain't one thing it will be another. All part of the fun of keeping older cars on the road. Almost no job will go as quickly as you think it will. I always allow a lot of extra time... no need to rush and you are supposed to enjoy the process.. When the job is done the fun is done.. The original BRE Spooks were molded with "holes marked". As I recall three of them bold into captive nuts on the bottom of the radiator Core Support. Are you sure there are no "circular" marks faintly printed into the jell coat? Three bolts in the radiator core support - then two or three drilled into the front center lower finisher - then two on each end. FWIW, Carl B.

source for "DATSUN" door sill thresholds new/nos..?
Just FYI - The last NOS set I saw on EBay went for $275.00 I had a set refreshed by a guy that specializes in that sort of work - by the time he was done I had $225.00 in labor costs - they looked great - but not as good as an NOS set.. Carl B.
