  1. From what I remember they bolted right up, no issues. There's a bracket that holds them. Here you go! Thanks to @Dave WM for the video. You'll see the bracket in the first few seconds.
  2. To copy and paste from the script of "The Holy Grail"... "Man: Well I object to your...you automatically treat me like an inferior! Arthur: Well I *am* king... Man: Oh, king, eh, very nice. And 'ow'd you get that, eh? (he reaches his destination and stops, dropping the cart) By exploiting the workers! By 'angin' on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society. If there's ever going to be any progress,-- Woman: Dennis! There's some lovely filth down 'ere! (noticing Arthur) Oh! 'Ow'd'ja do? Arthur: How do you do, good lady. I am Arthur, king of the Britons. Whose castle is that? Woman: King of the 'oo? Arthur: King of the Britons. Woman: 'Oo are the Britons? Arthur: Well we all are! We are all Britons! And I am your king. Woman: I didn't know we 'ad a king! I thought we were autonomous collective. Man: (mad) You're fooling yourself! We're living in a dictatorship! A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes-- Woman: There you go, bringing class into it again...
  3. This was one of my first reads when I joined this forum. There's a lot of names in here I haven't seen around anymore, Z Train, Z Curves, Coyze...
  4. What's your point? I deleted mine without any problems just a lot of reading. It was all common sense but for you, an engineer, it should be much easier.
  5. Sorry if I've double posted this.
  6. I love this song but try explaining it to your girlfriend/wife.
  7. What a game! We'll watch the same ones in the CFA game I imagine.
  8. My #69,??? VIN is the round one. '77 is the square holder.
  9. You can run a gauge on the end of a couple feet of hose under the driver's wiper and watch what it does while you're driving. Thank you to @FastWoman for that trick.
  10. I think that curve is for the ZX.? Pretty sure my '77 is flat too. My one day wish is to find the early one with rubber on the circle piece. Edited. Its gotta be something other than our cars. See the difference in depth of the tightening stop ring on the curved one. I think ZX changed wheel size with their aluminum ones in '79.
  11. This is my oe '72. That's a ratty spare I have in there but it's got a good 14" tire so function over fashion for me.
  12. I think they prefer midgets?

  14. Read #6 from @Diseazd
  15. I agree. It's a "clickity" sound not the "tangity" sound from exhaust leaking. A short piece of hose for a stethoscope would be helpful locating the source. Car looks great! It's been enjoyable for me reading your thread. You know what you wanted and now you have it. Well done!
  16. This is a neat new thing @Mike has done for deranged praise seekers like me. I need to get out more but I'm a happy "safer at home" person too.
  17. This maybe helpful... https://www.google.com/search?q=1973+240Z+odometer+knob+classiczcars.com&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&oq=1973+240Z+odometer+knob+classiczcars.com&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i333l2.20117j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  18. Clean/shine up the connections?
  19. Just a heads up on the wide 5 in my 240. It would pop out of gear. Finally figured out the shifter was hitting the tunnel and going completely into some gears. Post #16 shows the nicks on the shift rod I found. Some light grinding fixed me up, no more issues.
  20. Yes, 180 differential with the 5 speed. No problems ripping around town or 2 hour drive on the interstate. Aluminum flywheel is my best modification so far. I'm a rev freak I guess, grew up riding dirt bikes with power bands. It's in my blood.
  21. Backing out of my driveway is the worst few seconds of my light flywheel. Once I get on the street I'm used to the quick up and down RPMs. I love mine!
  22. I have a 5 speed "wide B" swapped in my 240. Original in my '77. Easy to work with, shifter stays the same but I did change the speedo cog from the 4 speed to a 5 on the 240 upgrade. Not sure the color but with 15" wheels in pretty dead on with the MPH on my GPS as the speedometer gauge reads. About 2,000 to 2,500 RPM at 75 MPH through 80 MPH highway. That's my best info as far as constant speed, you see I have an aluminum flywheel so red light to red light and traffic driving is all over the place on my tachometer.
  23. I put 4" Pyles from Walmart in my '77. Less than $50.
  24. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/932307927611419?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A950f93fe-710b-41fa-b657-7e9b96e7d077
  25. Whoops! you're talking about a 280. My 280 has a straight pipe out of the block. No smaller nipple. Sorry about that, just waking back up.
