I read the opposite. Also no packing the cigarette tobacco, more lung sucking work.
  2. Here's what I want for going back to work. I believe they're washable too? https://www.amazon.com/JewelryWe-Neopren-Motorcycle-Snowboard-Balaclava/dp/B086P94855/ref=zg_bs_3271034011_17?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=64NYE8Z8EKMNNPY2AEYA
  3. I paid $1,500 for a mattress 2 years ago. Comfort is important to me now. Mine are original cars from the '70s. Fun for a 30 minute rip around here but not road cars. But I might, and I mean a light might, drive my 280. I could park next to you and do that "better by comparison" thing and you'd get flogged with lookers while I sit back and drink beers.
  4. Not sure about a loaner but there are options.
  5. Thinking about ZCON this year. After being paid to stay home for over a month it'll be interesting to find out how many vacation days get wiped out. If everything works out like Washington is thinking the month of September will be when we're getting back in stride and busy at the restaurant I work for. I think I'll be able to get away for a week but am left wondering about others. Time will tell but I sure hope we can all attend as planned. Safe distance in a Z car? I don't think so. I figure in my Camry someone could sit in the back passengers side seat and we'd have 4 ft.
  6. Thank you for the reply. That's a well thought out then built garage for sure. You'll enjoy that for many years. Looking back at your photo it must be some kind of reflection that I thought was a gap. Farther down the gap isn't there.
  7. I have a 5 speed out of a '79 ZX 2+2 which is the wide B. Original R180 from '72 is 3.364. The speedo gear was in the original 4 speed and is a yellowish color if I remember right, maybe dirty white? I run 15" 205/55 tires. My speedometer was compared to a couple of friend's newer cars and a truck running beside me on the interstate. 70 75 and 80 were the same as we compared talking on our phones. I didn't want to get a speeding ticket and argue with excuses about my drivetrain.
  8. I can't figure out why the plywood clips are so different on the backside vs front. Is that by design or just not nailed down yet? Looks great, robust like a storm shelter too. #26 deserves it.
  9. I like my 180 and wide 5speed combo. I did take the speedo pinion out of the oe 4speed and put it in the 5speed. 2,200rpm is between 75 and 80mph on the interstates. Red light to red light is quick too but I do have a lightweight flywheel. Around town 3rd gear is good in the 45mph range. I rarely go to fifth unless I'm on the highways. 4th is perfect. My $.02. I'm sure you'll hear more opinions. Cliff

Shocking unless there's a malaria outbreak. I read that newest one, rem?????, was created in good ole Alabama. Well actually Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina all had a part but the main guy works at UAB.
  11. Hopefully he'll respond here. Currently out of stock but that's exactly what I need and for a fair price. Thank you!
  12. Horn pad mount, the hard plastic on the backside of the black pad. I have mine jimmy rigged but it still falls off. MSA sales the pad itself but not the locking ring. From https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic08d18/40-3140 DescriptionThis is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) replacement horn pad. The outer ring and word "Datsun" are chrome and the background is satin black. This is the pad only and does not include the plastic ring that holds the pad in place.
  13. PPG auto paint suppliers can still make it from a post I read the other day. Here's the colors from zhome.org. Probably 112? Click on the photo. http://zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/index.html
  14. My 9/76 built '77 has the early switch n47 head. Oiler cam and spray bar. I would put a turbo oil pump on if yours has both.
  15. A lot of folks on here use Exedy 6009 clutch kit. I have one on both cars and really like them. One's on top of a 10lb aluminum flywheel, easy operating clutch in my opinion. $100 at amazon.com. Thanks again @LeonV
  16. My '77 has something very similar and it is the alarm switch for the hatch. There's one under the hood and both doors.
  17. Hard to tell except this one and to me it looks close. Those float syncs look nice and with them you will get the proper height.
  18. What a good idea! Works great on my Camry.
  19. This was just stupid people. Old timey veterinarian's office in Alabama. Who'd of thunk I was actually the stupidest in there. I should have done it over the phone and had them bring it out. Lesson learned. Thanks for letting me vent here Zed Head.
  20. Well it finally happened to me too! I had to go to my Mom's veterinarian to get flea meds for her animals. Signs everywhere, Xs taped on the floor every 6 feet. The whole push. But damn idiots where packed in there like sardines in a can. After 5 minutes my smart arse passive aggressive personality took over and I said really loud, "are these seeing eye dogs? Can you people not read? Please stay away from me!" One girl muttered "no joke, what are y'all thinking?" COVIDIOTS

I have thousands of these if you think they would work. Metal wall stud screws.
