  1. Yeah, we'll see. Not to worried about intake leaks. Header leaks are a bigger concern. Worst case I develop a leak and need to redo it. All the fasteners are new and clean, so not real difficult
  2. I'm not sure. Rusty cylinder walls and blowby but the compression numbers are all good. So I think not. So mybe bad valve guide and seal??
  3. Carbs appear to have been done by Steve in 2011 I pulled everything off the head. No 4 exhaust is really oily! I found one of my air leaks. The seal on the balance tube missed one of the holes I have started reassembling the header and intake. I'm going naked. No gasket, just RTV. Troy Ermish told me he did it this way. I ordered an all copper gasket and based on email communications it is coming from Asia if I ever receive it I may try to get the carbs on tomorrow. I did some work on the butterflies to make them close better. So hopefully when it's all together I can make it idle properly with the right AFR's
  4. Could be a nice car but you need to get that rust under control! The sooner the better
  5. What is it? What specs? Who did the work? The ports look CNC cut?
  6. What numbers are on the ECU case?
  7. Nice to see you around!
  8. I see, if I were going to build a turbo motor, I probably wouldn't reuse old dished pistons. More than likely I would over bore and use new pistons. Might bore and stroke... I would probably spring for forged pistons too if I could afford it. I'm too old to want to do it twice...
  9. What are you expecting to get with the "turbo'd" F54 block?
  10. Yes, I would call those dished
  11. Maybe you try to find someone in the Southwest parting out a car. I would think you could find some panels that way
  12. Do you need the whole panel or just the bottom portion?
  13. Are they different than the standard car? How are they different?

So the way I do that, is loosen the three bolts on both hinges. Push the hood down as far as it will go and retighten. The hinges will pivot some when you push it down. Sometimes you can't get that down if the pivot points are too worn.
  15. No that's it. Bunny ears if you're looking from the front
  16. Be sure you are on the compression stroke. Both cam lobes on #1 piston are pointed up, like "bunny ears".
  17. For a bot!
  18. Would be interesting to post your spark curve up in a different thread at some point and the engine specs. Sorry for the thread jack...
  19. Did they work well for you? No issues with the trim install? I could glue mine on and use these to make it even better...
  20. It's probably to prevent cooling weeping into the oil. Vented to daylight instead..
  21. What dizzy is that @Yarb ?
  22. Yeah,,, rust in the transmission wouldn't be my first guess. Junkyard transmission? Flood vehicle? Probably salvagable but you'll need to get as much of that out as possible. Also be sure you have the little metal scupper plate that feeds the rear gutter
  23. Yet...
