I believe the narrower one is Zcardepot aftermarket. I bought a NOS air filter off Ebay that should be correct when I get it

First post, finding help on 2 topics
Just take the face off. Clean the lens good both sides. A small dab of epoxy on the edges and glue the lens back in. If you use super glue, you may frost the edges of the lens

seat mechanism cover screws
Did you look on Amazon? Sometimes I buy them there when Belmetric doesn't have them

Travel kit
So for long road trips, what do you pack in the emergency kit?? Belts, fuel pump, whatever? Looking for ideas to build a roadside kit

Motor Oil Update
I read an article about that today. Evidently the lighter weight oils are the real issue. The 0-whatevers... I suspect availability will become a problem and prices are going to climb. That 5 gallon oil change in my F350 is gonna get really expensive!!

Electric fan or new fan clutch/shroud for my 240z?
Yes, thread sealant

Correct But leans out on acceleration

I will I'm hoping this will enrichen the acceleration I can make it pretty rich now with the vacuum leak fixed and it will idle down when warm. I have not verified the float level with the clear tube method. I'm hoping I won't have too. I tried to reach out to Randalla about a set of FloatSync gauges but didn't hear back

So that 2 in 1 oil is 20W. I took the tranny fluid out today and added some 10W-30. I probably won't test drive it again for a few days. I will report back when I do

Z's on BAT and other places collection
Yes, a nice early car. Looks like it's pretty well done. Will be interesting to see what it does and how soft the market really is...

All nice looking mods. Whose suspension did you use?

1971 HLS30-14938 "Lily" build
I get it. I do go to the source material many times but ultimately the list is what I'm looking for. It's also interesting how many times I see AI pull up information that doesn't show up in my own search results

Yes, I believe I am running stock needles and springs. I h ave never replaced them since Ztherapy redid them Yes pretty confident I've sealed all the leaks.

I'm not sure I have any 10W. I might have some fork oil...

That's pretty cool. My wife uses AI all the time. I'm not there yet, but those results are impressive!

So I need to change the dash pot oil. On acceleration it's too lean 14.7 - 15.1. So they currently have transmission fluid in them. What would the next step up be?

@inline6 Garrett what did you ever do to resolve your air filter not being thick enough. I don't recall the solution and I have the same problem...

1973 Rebuild
I would think pressing on the master cylinder is not a problem until the ports to the reservoirs are covered, preventing retur flow. Someone can correct me if necessary

It doesn't really smoke in a normal scenario. It does smoke some on acceleration. I had the head done 40 years ago but the machinist didn't replace the guides. He reamed them to save me money. So it's possible that guide is sloppy now. Plus the valve seals are 40 yo now... I like the pretty new head Astrohog has. I might just do that sooner then later and then build a block to go under it
