euro patch panels?
These came with the car when I bought it, the quality is about the same as Tabco. I did not know that anyone in Europe made body parts for the S30. Dan

Junkyard & "Out to Pasture" Zs
So, I finally make it back to the wreckers. Here are a couple of photos, the yellow one is a late series 1 vin 19081 (started life as a green with brown int) and the orange one is a 72 vin 128042. I was able to get the splash pan off the 72. As well there was a Porsche and a Simca there too.

Plastic wire covering
What is everyone using to replace the old brittle black vinyl sheath on the wiring. I am talking about the wiring covers for parts like the length of wiring from the plug to motor on the wiper motor or from the socket to the plug on the headlights. Is this material still avalible in an auto store? On all of the parts I have this covering is hard and brittle. I would like to replace it with new which I am assuming is more flexable than what I have. Dan

Junkyard & "Out to Pasture" Zs
Arne: yes everything is intact and works. It had the rubber gasket as well, but it was split and I seem to have lost it somewhere between taking it off the car and home. It was on the series 2 car and was easy to remove as the rear quarter was cut away. I did not have any tools with me but it was just hanging by the chrome nut.

Junkyard & "Out to Pasture" Zs
While taking my Mom back to her home after Christmas I spotted a Z in a auto wreckers. I pulled in for a quick look and found two, a series 1 and a series 2. As the family was waiting in the car I did not have much time to look them over. Of course no camera, I even forgot to check the vin number:stupid:. I will be going back in Jan so will check then. It is a shock to find a S30 in a auto yard around here let alone two. I did manage to pick up this for $20 while I was there.

Looking for auto trans lines at radiator.
Richard: You can have these, they look OK but they are off a parts car I never saw running. In keeping with the Pay it forward thread they are yours for the cost of shipping.

Jumping in with 2
Arnie: I agree with Darrel as long as the cars will roll freely, here is a photo of a tie-down hook I removed from a parts car. Someone tried to pull the car when it did not want to be moved. So be careful how much strain you put on the hook if it has one and you use it. Dan

Targa Newfoundland
It looks like this car will be running this year. Maybe one of our Ontario members knows the drivers and can put you in contact with them before/after the race. I have watched the race a couple of times on TV and it looks like it would be a blast to do. http://www.targanewfoundland.com/drivers/cars/2009/501/
