  1. Been buying Moog parts through RockAuto for some time. No problem getting outer tie rods, ball joints etc. Summit pricing is pretty good though, very much like Rockauto.
  2. Just like your wheel studs.
  3. Bolts are splined into the pedal box. Just tighten the nuts. M8x1.25. When you puts nuts back on or take them off, and the bolt spins, THEN you worry. Not before.
  4. Jim, you are welcome to any item or items you want off of this pile-o-stuff. Shipping in your direction is surprisingly in-expensive. I’ve been quoting some people about shipping a full E31 head south, and a 28x10x8 55 lb box is ~$80-100 depending on how far it’s going, so just a pair of these carbs would be pretty reasonable at around $30. Just let me know what you want to do
  5. View Advert Nautical Paraphernalia So I’ve been going through a lot of my schiite lately, and it seems I have collected WAY more of the infamous flat top boating accessories than I thought I would need. Of course I could say that about a few other things.... There is 5 pair and I think a couple that are in pieces. So. I know there are a couple of you that are into such paraphenalia, so should you want my 75 pound box of these (or part there-of, depends on how big your boat is, I suppose), I would be more than happy to send them for the cost of postage. 6. S30 for sure, .which one, no clue. Real helpful, huh?
  7. Thanks for the definite ID Gav. Suspicions confirmed. The only RF Chokes/Fuse thingys I have are firmly attached to 1520ZC radio’s.
  8. Look under the car for the welded in nuts and poke a, well, a poker, ah ice pick, from the outside in through the carpet. There should be a sizable pocket on each side where the retractor reel goes that you should be able to find from the carpet side too.
  9. As you sit in the driver’s seat. But not while fully reclined.
  10. My Movie.mp4 The long awaited video
  11. Okay here 's a gem no one can resist! I've tossed all my old cassettes a long time ago.
  12. Video coming. It's taking its sweet time downloading. It is currently "Queued". Like being in the lineup at Costco for gosh sakes.... And I'm not even slightly surprised that some vulture has now swooped in and made me an offer I could not refuse!!! Lance, you know who you are..... Time to dig out the other 17 radio's I have somewhere..... ?
  13. Here is the innards. And it works..... Got a video of it tuned into the worst scratchy old country AM station around here...
  14. Thanks Jim! I will definitely take the top off and take more pictures. The antenna switch position was also a clue I assumed meant it was an early Z radio but the ones I'd seen prior had AM on all the buttons. There is no sign of that on these. I will of course feel obliged to maybe power it up and enjoy some local scratchy country AM radio!
  15. Ok gang, I need a hand identifying an un-marked radio. The ID tag is missing and buttons are un-marked with AM or FM. The wiring, antenna switch, case style etc sure look like a Z radio. Thoughts? Make model Year range? Any one want it? At least for the RF Choke and fuse assembly?
  16. If you are one of the people who understand pictures better than words, this should finally bring clarity to an often mis-understood subject of electrical current flow. Another way to look at this, is that VOLTS Is your undeniable drive to buy car parts, OHM’s is your wife doing her best to slow the purchases, and YOU are the AMPS, trying your best to buy stuff anyway!
  17. That is a 280z panel. 75-76 likely. The tall rectangular cut out in the lower left is the difference from the earlier part that fits around the shorter 240z rear shock tower
  18. There are subtle differences between the 240 and 74-76 280 regulators, guide channels and window guide frame that might explain that Nissan was also trying to improve the geometry. The regulator frame is about a 1/4 thicker and moves it away from the door frame by that amount. The final solution is the vastly different and much better window guide rails in the 77-78 doors that finally fixed the problem. Many modern doors still use this basic system of two vertical guide rails. The regulator is basically unchanged except in how it affixes to the glass. As usual, getting the basics right first, means fewer degrees of freedom for the other components. Good tight fitting felts in all the channels, and proper lube and free movement of the window in its guides. Once the window CAN move freely up and down without slop, THEN the guides can be tweeked to make it move in the geometry that makes it fit the frame when its up.

That is totally cool. A thing to hang on the wall and tell lies about for years.
  20. Another day, another new cool thing to learn about Z’s. I would have sworn up and down that was a user added part for an alarm or interior trunk light “upgrade”.
  21. AM I crazy? (Ok, we all know the answer to that, but listen to me for a sec.) If I’m reading the original drawing thing, the diff moves back 35mm in the new “better” configuration. Like an 1-3/8 or better. Since the big steel cross member is not moving, the center M10 stud on the isolator has to be in the same spot, so it must be the two holes that bolt the isolator to the diff that are offset forward 35mm. Sure doesn’t look like that much when you compare the two isolators side by each. Or are you bolting through the “other” pair of holes on the diff to make up this massive difference? Or is the mount rotated one vs the other so the holes are at the front or rear of the cross member? That must be it... Clue me in!
  22. Here is today’s contribution to your well being. A little bit of Zen tranquility to relax a troubled mind. Assume the lotus position, turn up the volume and put it on infinite loop. OHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ...... A5E5380B-4934-47F0-BFD5-927A0FEC5910.MOV
  23. Can you share a part # or specific BMW make/model/year?
  24. That’s not a bad idea, I actually thought of that earlier. Trick with these is doing it in a straight line and with even spacing and rotation. Bit of a jig/wall/block could be made easily to help keep straight and square. Might just weld the 153624 together.... EasyTime... Dang, two E’s..... two sets. EasyTimy.....
  25. Unfortunately, being laser cut, they can’t do anything but cut right through. I asked. Same with water jet and plasma. I’ll call around and see if any engraving places are desperate for business.
