  1. Expect to spend a lot on the body and paint work. If the floor is rusted out, then other areas are likely rusted out as well (some you may not see). Spending $10,000 on body and paint is not uncommon. Then there are the seats, carpet, weatherstripping, engine, suspension..... It's worth it, but just be prepared.
  2. I believe the 432 rear spoiler sold by Les Cannaday has the flat spot on the drivers side where the emblems belong.
  3. I didn't realize they had any blue on blue in '71. I would have guessed a white interior.
  4. Interesting, maybe an Eclipse?

http://www.popculturemadness.com/Music/ Here are lists by year. Pick your favorite year and see what the top hits were.
  6. The 70-71 cables were different from the 72-73 cables in the console area. The early Z choke lever assemblies were beefy and reliable. The later Z had to move the levers to the side due to a transmission change. These assemblies tended to put too much pressure on the plastic console eventually cracking them. No, you cannot buy any old Z choke cable assembly. As someone stated people came up with ways to beef up the later Z console mounting location. When I purchased my replacement at the dealer (long ago) it included the throttle lever cable assembly used in the 70 240Z, and later blanked off for the 71 model. This is the way they sold it, and might be the same today, don't know.
  7. I looked over some of our oldest members and determined that I'm #2 in number of posts after Mike. I still have a long ways to go to beat you Mike, but keep an eye in your rear view mirror. :stupid:
  8. Hey Dave, just use a can of the fix-a-flat on all four tires and you'll be ready for the track.
  9. Pick a brand of fully synthetic oil and a quality filter. I use Amsoil, but Mobil and some others are good too. Don't go out and buy a synth oil and cheap Fram filter or something.
  10. Does anyone have a part # for that GM mount?
  11. I am very interested in these!!!! :bulb::bulb::bulb::bulb:
  12. Man is in the business, btw did you get my PM?
  13. Actually we had stock springs made and sold by Courtesy Nissan a few years back and made it known on this site. I believe they were all sold. We also had Euro Stage I springs made, you might ask around about those. They are suppose to be 15% stiffer than stock and maybe 1/2" lower.
  14. Terrible website, I didn't see anything for the 240Z.
  15. I remember when the 300ZX owners were a bit like that. That was one of the reasons for this website. Things have changed, but there were times.
  16. Dave, I want one.
  17. I've heard that ZT has some kind of performance enhancement that they can do on your SU's for extra $$. Does anyone know about this, or has had it done? Interested in understanding the difference between that and a normal overhaul.
  18. Oil color has absolutely nothing to do with its quality. As AR280 said, you can have a sample tested, but if the engine is new with good compression, I doubt it anything.

Okay, I'll probably paint the front and rear spoilers.

Arne, I have a 175R14 made by Toyo.

Hey, get that Fram filter off that beautiful engine.

Frank, what kind of metal flake did you add, and how much?
