Installed cabinets this morning. My old work bench frames got trashed and I got a great deal on these all plywood cabinets. 7 linear feet of uppers and lowers. Will make a great work bench. I still have to install the tops which are Corian. The epoxy floor is holding up very well, however it will scratch and it doesn't protect from hard scrapes and jabs that would mark any concrete floor. Because of the light color, dirt shows up easily but I wanted that to know that the place was clean.

About as good as I'm going to get it. I've got some coilovers from TechnoToyTuning on order. Spendy, but I've just not been ok with the ride height. It's currently on Eibach loweing springs. Hope to get some Rota Shakotan wheels someday. For now, I'll just run it and enjoy it.

I do indeed have that. Although this solution would come it handy for the times I forget to immobilise via the app and also, if someone steals the car by dragging it out of the garage or putting it on the back of a tow truck, I can see where it is. Often when we go to car events (say at Silverstone), they are far away and we spend an evening in a low cost hotel near the motorway. If someone puts your car on a tow truck in a place like that, it really will not look out of place and would be the easiest way to steal a car! I have been known to clamp my own car :D . One time I had a young lad come up to me in the morning saying “Oh mate!!! Can’t believe it! Those bastards! Why did they clamp you!?” I said “Watch this!” and pulled the key out! We both laughed a lot!

Your idea of T ing off one should work. 2 Ts and some hose. That sounds good. I like hoes.

I got the scales out before taking the 510 off the rotisserie, front weighed in at 295lbs, the rear at 293lbs equaling 588lbs, minus both of the stripped doors at 40lbs a piece and 32lbs for the rotisserie mounts. So total stripped weight for a 73/2dr 510 comes out at 476lbs.

I'm running an aftermarket bosch pump. When I changed the pump I found a split in that fuel hose and changed it. It was a pita getting it out of the bulkhead. In the bulkhead is a ribbed rubber insulator to protect the hose from rubbing through. The insulatorhas ribs on the inside where it contacts the hose. I couldn't get it back in with the hose, so I used a thin piece of closed cell foam and glued it to the hose at the section that goes through the bulkhead. The insulator has Position H. Yep! I see it as an insurance policy / a deterrent to make it that much harder. At the end of the day, if they want your car they will take it, but this makes it more difficult / time consuming. It gives me piece of mind when we go on holidays and leave the car at home etc. It comes in two pieces, so it fits perfectly into the spare wheel well - I don’t carry a spare, just a can of puff and an inflator oh and a spare dizzy, leads /plugs, oil, water, fuel pump, bulbs, fan belt, small socket set, screw drives and spanners etc etc [emoji1787]. I figure those items are more likely to fail than the likelihood of having a full on blowout. With these you won't feel the hard stop you get with poly urethane.

I don't know how that white one sold for 16 grand. Far better ones have sold for the same price.

Actually they don't look like they would be too hard to make, maybe not in cast aluminum but out of steel would be straight forward.

Those are used on the 81-83 280ZX F54 block and 5 speed transmission. Earlier doesn't have the holes. Apparently it's an NVH reducing device. Somebody must have identified some flex between the transmission and engine block. They do look cool.

I've got a 4 post lift, an overhauld one from a spanish brand Istobal.. 3 or 3,5 tons. I prefer a 4 post because it's better for the older cars.. you don't break those flooredges.. I can't think of things i could not do on a 4 post? tell us what it is please.. ( working on an axle you can put that axle on a stand and the lift becomes a workbench for al your tools i would realy miss that with a 2 post lift.. also a 4 post is MUCH more stable!) My 4 post is most of the time a place to store my other car! Now i drive the car that is under it and comes summer/winter i change then! (summer car on summer and winter car on winter tires!) Also, if your a bike guy (like me) you can put a bike on a 4 post... on a 2 post.. not so easy..
