And.. TIP! check the seal with a small piece of paper between the hatch and close it.. if you can pull it out very easy.. thats wrong the paper should have some resistance then it seals at that spot! Paper of just an inch width is best to use!
2. Does a land speed record car count as a race car?
3. I love the ad copy:
. . . . . . . . that was lovingly restored by myself and a good friend. She was originally a hideous greenish yellow color, but was stripped down and redone . . . . . . . .
Must not have had a shower for a while, eh?
4. What was the first then? What you say? NOOOOHH!!! The first was electrician! Yes really! At the first day god made the light in the darkness, and WE (electricians) had already installed the cables for it!! 😂
5. Ernesto...Good work. Did you road test it yet. I installed the RT Mount with zero clearance between the snubber and the top of the diff nose and found that everything feels very solid, but noisier. It may be less noisy if I had left some clearance between the diff and the snubber. This noise may also be due to the new urethane bushings (as opposed to rubber) I installed for the mustache bar and rear engine mount. In any event, I accept the additional noise for the significant improvements to the drive and rear suspension. I would be interested to hear what you find once you road test it. Tim
6. I just sold my beautiful new set of fendermirrors for the price of 900 euro (or 1080 dollar) !! ( Thats always better then about 1700 euro when you would buy them from Japan (and thats with custom and transport costs..pfff ))
7. JTO, The diff is installed and the method I used (previous post) to measure for the snubber worked well. E
8. Hi, can you elaborate a little bit why you still want to remove the head to change the valve stem seals? The video I posted (pretty easy to find for everyone) shows exactly what needs to be done. I did it together with my girlfriend and it was pretty easy. You just need a valve spring compressor tool and some rope (and maybe a new valve cover gasket if yours is done).
9. I find with lack of sleep my speech starts to go, it makes me more Dutch! :p I really don’t know if they ever came or LHD or not, but I know a couple of gents here that would know for sure.
10. Yes, it's not too bad of a job to get the pan off after the oil pump pick up has dropped into the pan, the problem comes when you have to reinstall the pick up, not a lot of room to get your hands in there and start the two 12mm bolts. As I remember I had to bring the engine hoist in from the side and lift the engine 3-4", disconnect the engine mounts to get enough clearance.
11. When you have everything back together, prime the system by temporarily disconnecting the small wire on the starter solenoid and turning the key to start. About 10 seconds should do it. Excess fuel will flow back to the tank thru the return line. Re-connect solenoid and start car. Check for leaks at pump and tank connections. Make sure you use fuel injection rated clamps on anything after and including the pump output side. Not those cheap gear clamps.
12. Yeah 😉 but i say: reeediculous... it's ridiculous to say riiiidiculous ... 😂😂 THANKS Ali, I was just looking for a pic of that !!!!! Nice very good! I'll make a print of that. The guy who bought these mirrors is NOW at this moment underway to buy these (and see my cars and parts i have..!) and he lives here in the Netherlands.

ugh i used the inner hatch seal on this mine, its an interesting fit. I used 3m weather stripping glue inside the channel, then used metal laundry clamps to hold it to the body. I worked in sections, top, sides, then bottom. Get the big tube of the glue form the store and lather it up. ESPECIALLY near the hatch hinges. Then send me the glue that you did not use, I need to add more in that area its lifting up. Fax works for me.
14. If he has an dark plug at #4 have the plug wires been swapped around as a test. Loose fitting wire caps could be an issue with a lot easier fix. Just saying but I'm sure I'll get flogged.
15. I recently downloaded these while on a random parts search mission on Google - hope they are useful ...
16. Here is the same car on CarDomain, posted in 2013. The poster mentions showing the car in 2007 and it having 69K miles plus a few other details. The link has a few more pictures from 2007. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2980390/1972-datsun-240z/
17. Name and address check out. Seems real.
