  1. Hi , a Z432-R is going to an auction in Japan. The car was on a magazine some years back , current conditions of the car is telling this car had some little work done previously to look more proper. Still needs some work for perfection if you want but looked OK at this point . 73,000,000 to 83,000,000 JPY . https://bhauction.com/auction/tokyo-terrada-january/lots/432-r Kats
  2. I completely agree, we all decide to what level we want our cars to be. Concourse, restoration, hybrid, modded, daily driver, or even a rat rod. We then all decide what is a fair price for making that a reality for ourselves. I've spent more on my car than I ever thought I would, but then I have also repaired it for a lot less than others have too. As long as it makes sense to the one doing it. Enjoy the ride.........
  3. To bring this back to the OP request for headlight orientation. I have these headlights off the car as I impacted a deer in July and am repairing my car with these sourced parts. I really had no plan to restore my car much before this impact, but after digging into the damage, I found older damage and felt it was the right time to just fix it all. It will cost me some extra monies I was not intending on, but that is the nature of any hobby, am I right?
  4. At Suzuka circuit last week a special auction was held . Do you remember I posted a report of visiting S20 heaven last year ? Mr . Watanabe who raced GTR and built so many S20 for customers passed away last fall . It was just several months after I visited him . I still can’t believe it , he was so passionate about S20 , even he was making his own special head which can be directly mounted on S20 , working with a factory in Italy. His huge collection was auctioned . Everything was supplied even a S20-000001 with a GTR restoration project, and also the last S20 “ 002722” with a Ken Mary restoration project . Just amazing . I was so lucky that I won one thing , the race option Z432 exhaust manifold. This is going to be put on my spare S20 with other race option parts , and some Works parts . The auction results can be seen here , https://bhauction.com/result/suzuka-sound-of-engine-auction-2019/lots/ You will be surprised most of them sold with very good price for current Yahoo auction crazy. 5. Btw.. this car gets a brand-new hood Original Nissan.. 65100-P7900 Hood. (Also Bonnet! ? to the British.. )
  6. Yesterday made some pics of a few spots that needed a little bit of putty. And on the front i'm putting all the puzzle parts together to get it fit the right way before paint..
  7. I can honestly say that the enjoyment and education I have received from doing this “restoration” has been worth every penny so far. Having said that, I try and stretch my meagre budget as far as I can!
  8. I'm using his jets. They make a difference compared to the std. Weber jets.
  9. Dave WM has graciously offered to help speed up the process by going over some tuning procedures with me and hopefully getting Her back on the road after a 12 year Z nap....I’m fortunate we live fairly close.
  10. What a beauty, do you think I could swap my house for it? My house cost me about this much lol.
  11. I’m going to try the 3D printing first.
  12. Yes! Teflon tape might work VERY well. Thank you! Couldn't get enough PC to stick to those bolts to make a difference.
  13. Since I was in on this thread I might as well throw in another .02 cents. The ones from ZCD look exactly like the ones from Thailand only more money. IMO. ($21 shipped for 6 with screws. or 3 sets for $12) The screws look like flat heads but the plastic parts look like the correct shape. I love the ad too "Not Taiwan or China Product" Looks legit with 17000+ feedback and 99.6% pos. The Dorman ones look more like the 280ZX ones, again only looking at the pic's from the Thailand eBay ones. (JMO again) 3D printing might be an option, I just have not used anything 3D'ed yet so I really can't say much about the finished product. worth a shot if you can use the primer at a library like stated above. I know some FB peeps were making the inspection lid clips from polyurethane by making a silicon mold which might work too, but I am unfamiliar with that process as well. I tried removing some from old rusty headlight buckets but they usually broke in the process. Those things really grip in there. I was lucky to find this set of buckets with all of those intact. just a little clean up am I'm all set. I still would like to have some spares for down the road.
  14. Just made my reservations
  15. Not complaining about the companies that support us. This is a reasonable price in the states. I have already placed my major orders from the states so small ones like this are usually better sourced locally.
  16. My late 71 had wheel chocks, lug wrench and a jack with the two piece handle. No tool kit.
