Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
3 pointsI think this is @HS30-H's nice thread on an S20 rebuild: https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/236658-1969-nissan-s20-twin-cam-engine-rebuild.html Very nice!!!3 points

no fuel going to rear carb
2 pointsok good news and bad news. Good news is I think i found the issue. I ran a remote fuel bottle and the fuel pump sucked it through quick and maintained high float levels. I then blew air through the fuel line from the tank and gas was gushing out. After this I stuck a borescope down into the fuel tank and saw large pieces of the coating floating all around. This is what must of caused the fuel system to have low volume, it must of partially clogged the fuel exit port. After this I reconnected the fuel line and the floats were at a much higher level and the car was running very smooth. The floats still need to be adjusted but the tank has to be cleaned first. Ah what a sigh of relief!! Dreading dropping the tank though ??♂️ Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile2 points

Fairlady 432 at Auction
1 pointCould be a beautiful car, but will need lots of work. I think it would be harder to restore in a left hand drive market than a right hand drive market. I suspect there will be lots of little 432 specific parts that will be needed. Probably easier to restore it in japan than anywhere.1 point

Fairlady 432 at Auction
1 pointI agreed . Also they are so clean and beautiful, I may think they could be reproduction wheels which currently bacame available in Japan . Today I visited a vendor of a reproduction wheel . They are selling Z432 style wheel and rally style wheel .Both are aluminum. The manufacturer is located in China , not Japan . I noticed the Z432 style wheel has a different off set , more positive off set than the original. So looked different to my eyes . Kats1 point

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
1 pointHi Gavin , I bought the bumper because it has the OEM fog lamps , even it remains it’s half of the whole thing , still attractive for me . I wanted the brackets ( L and R are individual shape, as my Z432 has two R , the one is used for the left with slightly modified) , and bolts for the brackets. And I see at least I have one spare bulb and a spare stay ! Also it is nice ce to have the bracket for the license plate. I do not need the bumper ! Kats1 point

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
1 pointKats, are these the OEM fog lamps? Or what's left of them? Is that why you bought the bumper? Are you going to try and have them reproduced?1 point

Fairlady 432 at Auction
1 pointHi ! A rotten Z432 is going up for an auction, http://bhauction.jp/pdf/catalog/040_1972_NISSAN_FAIRLADY_Z_432_BASE_VEHICLE_FOR_RESTORATION.pdf This car had been on a Yahoo Japan auction several times , several years ago. This time a S20 engine which seems it was fitted to a lot earlier car came with the car. The transmission in the picture has a Skyline GTR shift lever arm . This will be a chance for everyone to own a Z432 the cheapest way at the moment. Kats1 point

Where to go with this rusthole
1 pointOne off custom cardboard rad supports! We'll I hung both fenders and checked fitment of the hood and shes tight Its good at the firewall end but sometime through all this the front wi g's have tightened up with welding I guess. I made a rig with my. Bottle jack and spread it the 1/2 inch it needs to have good gap all the way through. I cut a spacer bar to hold it where I want it, measured and designed the upper support. I'll fab that either tonight or tomorrow and install it. Should be fine, how important do you guys feel the "webbing" is... The sheetmetal that goes from one side to the other accross the front that has holes in it for wire and air etc. (see second last pic, part that the guys has patched up) i am for sure adding the corner brace up top to fender wall, and am contemplating doing a similar triangle gusset downwards rather than form a hunk of sheetmetal in there. Similar to custom job attached. (last pic) Sent from my SM-N950W using Tapatalk1 point

75 280Z Garage Sale (with 77/78 parts also)
Sorry Mark, Those went away a few years ago. Those were super NICE... Now I'm having sellers remorse.... I could have doubled my money selling to you (which would be half of what the OP is selling his now)..... I digress... IIRC, I grabbed a ton of stuff off that '76 that was in the junkyard (I made monthly trips to the Eastern Shore, and took a looooong lunch). After 4 visits, the fifth visit came up empty as the man crushed that car.1 point

240k Race car - GTR tribute
1 pointBought a NOS head from this site, thanks so much Garrett (inline6), its a P90 so will require a bit of work to get high compression but great place to start. Managed to buy NOS lifters and related parts from Nissan Japan and some Valves and retainers from Kamaeri. And i turns out the Hakosuka sump fits the Kenmeri, so got one of those with a kit that ties into the gearbox. But looking at the existing crank and rods and doing some maths, looks like will they will have to replaced. Can't bore the new block too much so going to limited a bit in capacity 87mm = 2960, but it should be able to rev. So the head is off to Horsepower heads (Kevin Bann ex Kelford Cams) who is starting on the port work. This build is going to take a bt longer than planned but the end result is going to be better than expected, so will be updating shortly.1 point

Looking for a set of Sumitomo calipers MK63
The modified backing plates are complete. I am happy with the results, they look factory. I believe having backing plates along with my MK63 caliper upgrade will enhance the overall upgrade.1 point
