I will tell you all right off that I am computer savvy, BUT, I am also not very savvy with forums, and threads and, tags, and all kinds of other communictaion devices that allow someone to add a thing called "a smiley....." So please bear with me, Make sense? Any way I am in possesion of a 1973 240Z with a chev. 327, backed up behind is an aluminum Muncie 4-speed for the shift-and-get there. Picked up this gem back in 1987 and got rid of all kinds of rusted metal and replaced it with good old fiberglass. If your curious, yes its a Scarab kit, coolest add-on I think. (I apologize to you gods that have the "numbers matching" go fast cars). I have, and will be adding some pa…

Hi all, just recently purchased a 1971 240 Z, serial HLS3015721 for $8900 .Originally a California car, I am the 4th owner. The car is original except for a paint job and minor upgrades (MSA alternator upgrade, radio). It is straight and almost rust free(dog leg rt side) I am trying to decide what, if any, mods to make to it. Will the value of the car be diminished by upgrading engine and suspension components, or does the paint job (a poor one) already devalue the originality of the car? It has been appraised here in Edmonton at $12000. Any opinions onthe current and future value of these cars would be appreciated! I have attached some pics for your enjoyment.

Hey, I'm Andrew, from Oklahoma City. I was just looking at an old 67 Fairlady Z, probably going to buy it this weekend. I've never done a restoration, so I figured I'd have some Z fanatics take a gander at it, and see if anything glaring caught their eye. Also, I can't wait to fix it up, and show it off one day.

Well I jumped feet first into my first project car and I bought a 1972 240Z. I have been wanting to get a 240Z for some time now but I just hada baby and you can't find many of these cars here that isn't rotted out beyond belief for around $1K. I found a local craigslist ad saying he hada 1971 240Z California car that has been sitting in his garage for 10 years. I went and looked at it on Saturday morning and made a deal for $1000. It definitly was a California car 20 years ago. There is some rust that will need to be fixed but overall the condition is OK. He said that it was running when he put it in the garage. I will be spending a lot of time prepping it to see …

Hey everyone, My name is Nate and I'm from Ontario Canada. I currently own a 96 Honda Accord (turbo project) and a 92 Subaru legacy turbo. I have been given the opportunity to purchase a 1973 240z. I haven't gotten too many details other then it has been fully restored to original (as close as possible). It is white and is manual. It is a family friend of mine and is asking $8000 Canadian. I was just wondering if you guys could direct if this is a good price or what I should be looking to pay for this. The car is absolutely mint as I'm told. Any advice is appreciated!

Hey, just joined a couple of days ago and wanted to introduce myself. I am not yet a proud owner of a Z, but do intend to own one soon. Like a lot of folks here, my first exposure to the Z happened back in high school, where one of my friends had a black 240Z, supercharged....I was hooked from day 1. Fast forward 20 years, through college, work, marriage, and kids and I still have that Z in my head. Now I'm ready to buy, and would sure appreciate any help and advice. Thanks!

Hey everyone. Wanted to say 'Hi.' and let you know what I'm running I recently bought a '86 VG30E, really like it. But the more I learn about the different generations of "Z"s, I'm really wanting a 1971-3 s30 Fairlady Z. But until then I thought I'd hang out and learn about the first generation.

As I was 6 months into my waiting list for my '73 Z, I drove by another local dealer and saw the most beautiful Z I'd ever seen. Sterling Silver early 260Z and still on the car carrier. I made a barely legal u-turn and inquired about its status. Extra shipment, all mine 2 hours later. Well as far as love at first site, we were still in the afterglow 13 years later when I had to sell it for parts. Dang midwest winters ate up the body as was so common to a daily driver. 97.000 miles and the engine was super strong and tight still. That's why it hurt so much to part with it. With the proceeds of the sale, bought an '87 200SX and kept it for 18 years. It too was mechanically…

this stuff works pretty well: it was more than I'd usually pay for mag polish but worth it. I was actually going to just leave these wheels on my parts car when it eventually gets hauled away because I thought they were too far gone. After searching and not finding any 15" wheels that I liked enough to spend the money on I decided to try cleaning these up and just go with different 14" ones. I know I got the polish on the tires but those aren't staying on the wheels. I plan to go with bridgestone RE960AS
