  2. Hi WolfZee, A transaction is in progress. If anything should change, I will let you know.

  4. I reconnected the hose to the number 6 I take runner port, which is where I had it before. Right now I think my brake issues are being caused by air in the system, specifically in the MC. I’ve bless it three times and, even though the pedal is nice and firm when I finish, by the time I get it back on the ground it’s soft again, boost or no boost. I also noticed my rear calipers are getting a sheen of brown so I am going to pull them to be painted since I’m going to have to bleed this thing again anyway.
  5. I purchased one for my 78 and it’s more intricate than a 240 and it works perfectly. I’m very surprised he would say it was hit or miss.
  6. Hello, I've received a nice new fuel tank from S30 world. Now I'm looking for a new sending unit for that tank. I also need the four rubber pads that I can't seem to get from Chris at S30. Any direction you can point me will be appreciated
  7. @Mike This bot is still at it. I hit "report" on this thread and the previous one as well.
  8. Hello everyone. I thought I would make the first post here. I am back in a 240z, again. This is actually the car I learned to drive in 36 years ago. My father bought it new after Vietnam and it was a garaged daily for decades. For a time by brother used it after crashing his 72 but abandoned it for 15 years when he moved out of country. I saved it from being discarded and started to bring it back to what I remember 3 and a half decades ago. Here is a picture with the roll cage out (So I fit) Cheers everyone.

  10. The best way to test the injector circuits is with a fast-acting light like a NOID light or with a spare injector. If you find that the injectors aren't being opened by the ECU then you can focus on that. But you might find that the injectors are being "commanded" open but aren't. They can rust shut. Or maybe they are opening but they're squirting water. Maybe you put 5 gallons of diesel in by accident. Just kidding but the point is that you seem to have everything you need except good fuel squirting. If it starts with starting fluid you have spark and proper timing. Is your cold start valve still installed and connected? It's easy to remove and you could check that it is squirting good gasoline during the start procedure. You could also install it on one of the injector connectors, I think it uses the same EV1 connector. I've never tried that though. Could be interesting. Don't forget that the hose will be pressurized if you remove it from the hose. If you can keep it connected to fuel but get an injector connector plugged in it might tell you something. But really, a NOID light is the way to go.

  16. Excellent! Glad it runs. I can't help with the triples
  17. I have been updating an old engine build thread on HybridZ.org with content, but there is little interaction/engagement there. So, I figured I would like to post updates here as well. My efforts to get this other Z back running have expanded quite a bit beyond the rebuild of the 3.0 stroker motor. At the moment, I am working on repairing some rust in the floor panels. I have been watching a number of "Make It Kustom" videos on Youtube by Carl Fisher. In one of them, he creates some forms out of 3/8" plate to create a "hammer formed" part. Additionally, he uses a hydraulic press to "stamp" a recess into the battery tray he is making in the video. The rust in my floors on this car is not extensive. It is generally in the area of the large oval depression in the floor panel (on both sides of the car). Yesterday, I spent a few hours cutting out and grinding/filing on part of the form I plan to use to replicate the depression. On the right side floor, I only need a small portion of it. On the left side, I will attempt to make a full piece to replace the depression. I've never done anything with forms likes this, so we'll see how it goes. I will be using my 12 ton press because it is what I have to attempt to make the replacement part. But, I have been watching facebook for a suitable upgrade, perhaps a 30 to 45 ton press.
  18. Unused (NOS) 26510-N3400 license lamp for 8/73 and later Datsun Z cars! Ready to bolt on - no repainting or cleaning your old/scratched one - saves you time! I am unsure of the upper date range cutoff for fitment. Please look at the pictures to determine applicability for your car. I didn't realize at the time I purchased it that it was not the correct lamp for my 71. As received, it had a slight discoloration (like a finger with thinner on it wiped it accidently) when I got it. I used the Ford color and matte paint (as detailed elsewhere in the forum) to touch up just the front face (not the whole grey area). The paint match looks very close to original. Hi resolution pics available. Price: $200 plus shipping cost to you.
  19. Pretty slow lately. Maybe some chest pain will help.
  20. Maybe he will show up and be legit. Doubt it Seriously
  21. Really nice car and build. The Dyno charts of the 3.0 was really intresting.
  22. He's done a Z before but it was missed. Funny though, I referenced it later for another reason. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-datsun-240z-354/ Feb 20, 2025 comment in case it doesn't come up. https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/69026-1970-wiring-diagram/page/5/#comment-674728
  23. No thanks, found everything I think I need.
  24. No, sorry. But I do have a FS4W71A and FS4W71B and a box of parts.
