  1. One of my quarantine projects was to clean out my files of old documents. While sorting through some old car receipts, I stumbled across an invoice from December of 2003 for a complete NOS exhaust system purchased from Courtesy Nissan. With a $70.00 freight charge, the whole system set me back $297.48. Given what a NOS exhaust system would run for today, I should have bought a couple more and sat on them 😉 I recently saw a Datsun 240Z used parts ad for a pair of used Koito headlights with an asking price of $300.00, which got me to thinking: Anyone else have old receipts or recall the prices for parts that today would require the sacrificing of a kidney to own?
  2. Dear all I am new within this group and I like to offer you a large amount of parts for a 280Z. The interior parts belonged to a dark red car. the parts are all used and mostly not yet cleaned. 7. I'm working on my 12-'74 260z. the side door windows have everything I have seen online except the "Window Glass Roller Bumper Guide". This is just for the side to side movement and rattling. my problem is the front to back alignment when rolling up my window where i have to walk it back and forth with my hands on the top of the glass to make it roll up smoothly. I know I have to buy this part, but will it help me with my issue as well?

  10. I just recently purchased a 240z that needs a bunch of parts. In my search, I haven't found any sites like a Moss parts catalog except for the Black dragon website. The site says it is closing this part of their business down. It looks like exactly the kind of site that would be good for our cars. Does anyone know of any other sites with a nice catalog where parts seems reasonable??

  12. My son and I started a 77 , 280z build back in 2001 when he was just 15. We took body and paint classes together and bought and sold at least 15 similar Z,s for parts .. Tragically my son died in 2009 2 months after graduating from college. I still have the Z and I will never sell it but I have a barn attic with lots of parts ... Not sure what year they are all from. I have 2 L28 blocks and at least two heads .. One of which is a turbo head. I have a reworked turbo and exhaust manifold and intercooler.. a few wheels .. lots of interior parts..too much to list all here.. Does anyone live close to Albion Michigan that would be willing to take a look and help me with values and possibly buying some of this ... If I knew what everything was I would start listing it on ebay. Thanks for looking Jasonsdad
  13. From the album: 1971 240z Jedi

Another interesting shot of all the parts I took off and had sandblasted.
  14. When I removed these parts, I must have figured they were unique enough to remember where they went, obviously I was wrong. Can anyone help me identify these parts, where they belong on a 1977 280Z? Any assistance is very much appreciated. Parts may not be the original color, I had the some powdered coated black, and painted some others.
  15. Sorry if this has been answered in the past. I'm new to the forum. Just bought a 1977 280Z. Runs great, but the air conditioner was overheating the magnet valve main vac. Played around and finally took it to a shop who recommended I replace both the magnet valve main vac and the magnet valve FICD but I'm not having luck finding those parts. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
  16. So after buying my Michigan 280z and tearing into it only to discover more rust than metal, I have decided to find a new body in a state which doesn't eat cars . So! I am in the market for a 75-78 280z body with minimal/no rust, though beyond that a project body would be great. I am looking to spend 1500 or so, and the most important thing to me is that it has as little rust as possible; if it needs interior work or electrical or other parts that's fine, just NO RUST. A friend will be travelling to Florida sometime soon, so if there is anything between Michigan and Florida that would be great. Also, if anyone knows of any good auction sites or other websites where I can find nice-ish bodies with in my price range, that would really help as well!! Thanks everyone --Rachel
  17. I don't think we're at this point yet with the S30, but it's nice to know the technology exists! http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/jay-leno/technology/4320759 *future of replacement parts
  18. Could anyone tell me roughly what i should be paying for a replacement windshield? I am in the UK Cheers
  19. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT PARTS A DATSUN 260Z FROM 1978 AND A 240Z HAVE IN COMMON. WHAT ABOUT CHASSIS, DOORS, WINGS, REAR HATCH AND MECHANICALS? I've just found one on ebay and it's not much money. Was thinking I could use it as a donor car. It's less than a day to go so i'd appretiate your time! Thanks very much! Matt
  20. Hey guys this is my second Z and i recently bought her and when i did the front of her looked off..i couldnt figure out why for hte life of me. Then i realized (while admiring another Z) that she is missing the upper grill. The bigger of the 2, does anyone know what i can buy one??
  21. i'm trying to decide which front suspension bushing kit i should buy for my '76. the BDA kit is 30 bucks more, but is it worth it? are there many additional bushings, and/or is the kit better quality? is there a better kit from a different online source? i'd love to hear from some folks who have bought a kit. http://www.blackdragonauto.com/icatalog/z/full.aspx?page=43 http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC06A/23-4100AZ
