  1. Looking to replace the heater core in my 72Z. OEM - not avail, local auto stores selling reproductions - not avail. I did check eBay and the price is double what local stores charge (when in stock). So looking to save some green if possible. Any other ideas on where to acquire a new one? Thanks. David
  2. So after buying my Michigan 280z and tearing into it only to discover more rust than metal, I have decided to find a new body in a state which doesn't eat cars . So! I am in the market for a 75-78 280z body with minimal/no rust, though beyond that a project body would be great. I am looking to spend 1500 or so, and the most important thing to me is that it has as little rust as possible; if it needs interior work or electrical or other parts that's fine, just NO RUST. A friend will be travelling to Florida sometime soon, so if there is anything between Michigan and Florida that would be great. Also, if anyone knows of any good auction sites or other websites where I can find nice-ish bodies with in my price range, that would really help as well!! Thanks everyone --Rachel
  3. hey all, here's my situation. I found this fairlady z close to home and I'm wondering more about it. first off, is a 1975 fairlady z similar to the 260z? is that correct? what kind of differences am i looking at? weight reduction, stiffness, power, engine? and i guess mainly i am curious to what kind of 'trouble' ill be getting into if i bought one. I'm not the most mechanically adept guy and i'm not wealthy by any means... but i absolutely love the looks of the z... do these cars cost quite a bit on parts? are they hard to find? I was seriously considering getting a 240sx from the states, but what i find is that what I really want to do is invest time and money into something I love. not so much as a practical car, but as a hobby. here's the link to the car i'm looking at. http://www.oldcaronline.com/ocdetail292188.htm thank you so much for helping!

Hi all, I'm looking for a Datsun 240Z for around £6000. I recently was very let down by a garage that sold the one i was going to buy! So, now i have around £6K sitting in the bank and i'm really struggling to find such a good bargain again! I'd really appretiate some help. Matt

Hi guys, I have never used a forum before and am new to Z's I have always bean interested in old z cars but do not know that much about them. Recently I found 1977 280z 4-spd 2+2 for sale test drove the car, its in fairly good condition the odomiter displays 83000 mi but owner is unsure how many times it has reset at 100K. cold start isn't that good and car smokes The VIN is GHLS30060176 i tried to do a car fax to find out millage but didn't work. Also DMV didn't know. Any way i can find out true millage? asking price is 1300$ is this reasonable? are there any tell-tale indicators of problems i should look for? last car i owned and fixed up was 1980 international scout and im looking forward to working on a Z!
