  3. Aww, I reckon they're neat Buy one over an MGB any day! But I agree, not really my style.
  4. There's a immaculate dark blue 2000 Roadster for sale on the Gold Coast here, for $13000. Hasn't sold for a couple of weeks though so maybe it's not as immaculate as the picture makes it out to be? never seen one in real life though...
  5. It's alright it doesn't really bother me that much Just me being dramatic... :stupid:
  6. If heavy and complicated means it's not a sports car, then no new car is a sports car, save the Elise. The meaning of sports car, IMO, has changed. The name GT is usually reserved for expensive cars nowdays it seems.
  7. Hi Interesting thread! Mine started 8 odd years ago when my brother had a nickname and I didn't. Everyone called him Effa (as in, E for Elliott). My name is Lachlan, and dad owned a couple of Alfa Romeos at the time so I thought it was fitting - Alfa. Later on in Need For Speed 1 the computer game, one of the default high scores was by "Alfadog". My brother thought I must have got the high score as I was Alfa... he always wanted to know how I got such a good time!!! After that I kinda adopted hte name Alfadog. It stuck On the Internet anyway. In real life people call me by my real name. Alfadog could also be taken as another word for 'Top Dog' (Alfa = A = First = Top). What pisses me off is when people spell it Alpha. The spelling came from Italy, not Greece!!! It gets on my nerves even more when people do it on the Internet, when they can clearly see how to write my name! OK, who's next?
  8. Well said Rob. Here are the things I dont think are necessary on the main page: - Shout box (but I know others use this quite a lot so it probably should stay) - Club Stats (maybe just have members, posts and total hits? Or maybe just have the stats linked from a link in the main menu?) - Coming Z Events (is there ever an event in here?) - Private Messages (Shouldn't be there - maybe just a link in the Personal Menu?) - Automotive (It's a trick little feature, but does anyone really use it?) - Random Z car (I agree with 2ManyZ's in that if I want to see random pictures I will click the random pictures link) I do not agree however that the number of news items should be decreased. Three is a minimum, if you're going to do anything add another one! And WHOA, I've never clicked the "Got Roadster" link before. Nice sister-site Mike!!!
  9. But you see people who buy new cars are strange. They don't WANT to work on their car.. they like things called "warranty" and they seem to think new cars have more style?????? Who knows, they're very very strange...
  10. If I was a dumb bimbo who thought a 16 year old could own a Ferrari, I would believe that Datsun76. :classic:
  11. George, I was considering adding something to the end of that statement but decided to hold my breath in case I aggrovated anyone I tread lightly in these times...
  12. ROFL yes rick, you are a dirty old man... whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is questionable though!!!
  13. Either that, or no one else is as patriotic as us !!!
  14. A dill who is doing a full restoration to a 240Z... Oooo sounds like a chance to make some money!!! Quick, put up all your spare Z bits up on ebay!!!
  15. Can someone post close-up shots of what the "right" wipers look like? I'm interested to know if I've got them or not That money is insane... concours restorers only.
  16. http://s-garage.hp.infoseek.co.jp/gaisou1.htm The Z mirrors are 25,000 yen, about 210 USD... then you have to get them to America
  17. I just replaced my old BOB JANE rear 205's with Khumo 'Powermax 769' 215/70s. I only drive on the street and haven't driven much since I got them, but compared to the old Bob Jane cheapest-thing-you-can-get tyre, they're awesome. So bloody sticky, you won't get the rearend of the car out unless you try very hard, even in the wet. They're utterly fantastic. Now I'm not afraid of driving in the wet! (the old tyres were like trying to drive on an oil slick...
  18. !!! Id like to see the paper trail for that one! It would have to be pretty immaculate for 6000 though ...

  21. Alfadog replied to z_boi's topic in Body & Paint
    Mmmm now they look nice!
  22. Alfadog replied to z_boi's topic in Body & Paint
I think they look totally ugly on a Z  They're big, round and have no edges on them, unlike a Z which is designed with crisp, well defined lines. But if you like 'em, go for it!
  23. But it's still a song about America.
  24. Alfadog replied to tanny's topic in Body & Paint
Yea, that's what I'm talking about too. I thought they were bump strips so that if something large and square bumped into you it wouldn't damage your paint work?
