Experencing tunnel heat in RedBird
I would have to look at the FSM to be sure. Likely candidates include a watercock that is stuck open or a heater cable that came loose with the watercock in the full open position. If it's the former, a good flushing may loosen it enough to operate. If it's the latter, reattach the cable if it's in good condition.

Parting out 1973 240Z
It's most likely a North American market car, so if it had AC, it was aftermarket. This vendor includes the mounting bracket for the AC: http://nostalgicac.com/datsun-240z-260z-280z-compressor-upgrade-kit.html

Headlight update(s)
While I highly recommend Dave's product, it is not plug and play for the 260Z/280Z. Unless the OP has extra connectors available to send Dave, he's about just as well off with a DIY setup.

Headlight update(s)
Can you wait a couple of weeks? I just got all of the stuff together to redo the relays on my 260Z. I just need to get a work project out the door. Then I will have photos AND drawings done.

Headlight update(s)
Unless you're switch contacts are immaculate, yes. You'll build up more heat in components. If the lack of light is an issue, higher wattage bulbs won't do much for you. The big issue is voltage drop. Before I installed relays in my 73, I was only getting about 9VDC at the headlight socket with the car off. That 3 volt drop equals a very significant drop in the percentage of light output. Go with relays, and you probably won't need higher wattage bulbs. It will be better for your electrical system, too.

No, I only got them 4 years ago, so I haven't had the time to put them in. Yeah, I need to work less at my job and more on my cars.

F*** the Internet
For me, the internet is great. I consider social contact grossly overrated.

What a Difference a Day Makes with RedBird
Before everybody gets too worried, I suggest we allow Jai to bring her car over to my house. I should have enough free time next month to accommodate her. Right now, a 70 hour week is a short work week for me. I would like to control the number of variables and eliminate problems.

BRE Tribute
No, sir. Ron's car was set up to be a lot safer when tracked. Randy and I were talking about it last week.

What a Difference a Day Makes with RedBird
I might have a working replacement lying about in the garage, Jai. I would need to transfer the face from yours to it, though.

F*** the Internet
You still need the internet to make sure you can contact me, Phil. I have that tire you want.

BRE Tribute
Yes, it is. Then it had the vinyl decals, and Randy didn't have the helmet, yet. The way he's going, you'll need to take a new set of photos.

What a Difference a Day Makes with RedBird
Mark, from my brief time behind the wheel of Jai's car, I didn't notice anything peculiar about the clutch/master, though I have suggested that I flush the hydraulics with clean fluid for her. And to clarify, I have had problems in the past with my 73 where the clutch was engaging with the pedal to the floor. Reverse tended to grind, too. I don't recall any problems with getting into reverse with her car.

BRE Tribute
Randy Jaffe brought his BRE tribute car to Caffeine & Octane recently. He has been going into excruciating detail trying to capture the essence of BRE's 240Z. This includes hiring sign painters to paint the numbers and sponsor information on the car to replace the vinyl decals he started with. He took his car out to JCCS this past summer and obtained John Morton's signature on the replica helmet.
