Is all you are doing is swapping the clock?? If that is all just take out the glove box and go in from there. the entire dash is a LONG LONG day. You can get to it without trying to kill yourself. -Bryan

Is it an auto?? If it is there are 4 wires on the passenger side that go into the transmission that tell the car if the transmission is in one of the APPROVED positions to start. When I converted mine from an auto to manual I had to TELL my car that it is in park so I could start it. -Bryan

They aren't really too expensive. Just replace it. All it is going to do in the future is give you more problems. What happens is moisture gets inside it and makes the points stick. SOMETIMES hitting it or tapping, for you less violent people, will make it work. I just don't like to get stranded later after it decides to do it again. -My 2 cents. Bryan

I too used to live where it is cold in the winter. (Northern New York YUCK!!) MOVE it is nice here in San Antonio. I woke up to 68 degrees. NOT BAD FOR FEB!!!
