Spy Hunter © 12/1983 Bally Midway. - STAFF: Designed and programmed by Bill Adams, George Gomez and Tom Leon. Music by Henry Mancini. - TRIVIA: The car was based on one of the designer's own Nissan 280z. The game was to have a helicopter stage but the designers ran out of resources. They also wanted the James Bond theme to play, but settled for the Peter Gunn theme instead.
  2. Spicer is just a brand beandip. MSA sells them, I have a set on my pass. half shaft; just replace a couple months ago.
  3. Anyone know aprox. what a 4-speed Z tranny weighs? Also, anyone ever ship one? If so how did you send it (i.e. UPS, FedEx, truck freight, etc) and how much did it cost (from where to where)?

    Pizza Hut.
  5. hls30.com, have you got a pic of that? I'd be interested to see it on a car to see just how it worked, and how big of a sign it is. Not planning on doing it, just sounds quite interesting.
  6. I'm with Arizona240z, do NOT EVER send this type of info to anyone who blindly contacts you asking for it. Two words (can you say): IDENTY THEFT
  7. Ok, website issue...as long as you are not publishing copywritten material (including logos, etc) nor outright distributing personal information without the person's concent they reall can't touch you. You own the website so you can do pretty much what you want with it (within the law). However, if they have paid for your services, materials, time, the site hosting, etc, etc, etc. then they do own those parts...now if you have 'donated' these things they may also have a leg to stand on legally. No, I'm not in law I'm in the computer industry so therefore I do keep up with some of the legal intelectual property mumbo jumbo to protect myself and know my own rights. I've been doing computer programming and application development for many years and have a library of ALL the code and applications I have ever written or developed. I'm NOT reselling this, it is a personal reference library so next time I have to do someting similar I have a starting point which shortens the development time and everyone benefits. Yes, legally the company who paid me to do the work owns the work that has been done however you show me a computer person who does not do the same thing! Bottom line here is that you may have to rearrange things and change the 'look & feel' of the site a bit but in this case from what you have told us it is your's.

Yes, according to VB the '70-'78 windshield are all the same and have the same part number.
  9. Ya know, I even did a search on Rebello Racing Engine and still could not find it. :stupid: Forgot to thank you.... Thanx for the link.
  10. Ok, I can NEVER find the link to Rebello's website when I want it. This time I'm bookmarking it! Can anyone post the link please? Why don't we add this to our Links page? I looked under Z Car Businesses and didn't see it.
  11. In Texas we have a couple different options for cars classified as classics. We can run with the original plates (at least plates from the original year) or get new "Classic Auto" plates like the ones kmack has on his car (I think, I can not find a pic of them now). There is a place just south of me (actually a little more than 1/2 way between me and kmack) that deals in classic/collectable cars and they sell the plates there (I'm sure there are many other places that do also). Here's a link to their site, they always have a lot of nice cars to look at. Automania I personally have never seen a Z in there but I did see a 280 on their website within the past few months. And they also do restoration work so they really know their stuff! EDIT: In fact the 280 is still on there, but it's a 2+2.
  12. Answers my question. The buy selling it, on eBay, is not too clear on this sway bars application. He states that it is for a 240Z and that there is no drilling required. I didn't think that this sounded right based upon the past threads here. Thank you all. I was hoping to save a few bucks instead of buying the ST set with runs near $300 for front and rear but looks like I'll just have to bite the bullet when I get to that point in my Z and buy them new from them to insure I get the right ones.
  13. Last pic
  14. Does this look like the kind of sway bar for a 240Z that does NOT require drilling the chassis to mount?
  15. Here that's what we call "BAIT"! ROFL
  16. Ok, I'm tearing down an engine and I can not get the bolt that holds the cam sproket off. I have tried just my socket wrench and my impact wrench and still no luck. How do I get this bolt off!? :cross-eye
  17. THAT'S INSANE!!! I agree with all comments thus far, who'd buy it, just when you thought you had seen everything on eBay, etc, etc, etc. I don't know what to say....I'm speachless....there are SO many thoughts running through my mind about this auction....
  18. I'm lost! Is this an auction on TV?
  19. Nice clean engine bay, previous owner must have never driven it and steam cleaned it daily!! :stupid: Is the NGK plug box holding your radio dial in place?
  20. Read up on Z Garage and you will know all about the mods you want to make with the exception of the N42, he doesn't talk about that head. From the research I have done the F54 block with flat-top pistons and the N42 head are better than the same block with a P90 only because it's cheaper. What I mean by that is you have to shave the P90 and then shim the cam towers to achieve the same compression ration as just bolting on a stock N42 head to the same block; the compression ration for this block with an N42 head is supposed to be 10:1. I'm building mine in the garage now with an N42 head. :classic:
  21. :surprised NO JOKE!!! The Snap-On are expensive!
  22. I don't off hand see a Crafsman torque wrench in a 3/8 drive that goes from 10 to 150 ft/lbs. However, there is this little gem that goes from 0 to 150 but honestly it seems a bit techie to me. Where can I find other high quality torque wrenches?
  23. I'm looking at getting a torque wrench and need some information and oppinions to help me make my decision. First off, what is the torque range that Z cars have (i.e. 10-75 ft/lbs, etc.)? Does this make sense? I want to know what the lowest and highest torques are on a Z car? Also, what range do the majority of these lie in? Maybe that's helps explain what I'm looking for. Second, I'd like your oppinions on torque wrench styles. I have seen the ones that look like a socket wrench and the ones that look like some kind of "scale" which the guy called a spring torque wrench. Which is better? Which do you prefer and why?
