  1. There is value in these items. Many people with these cars do not have these books...like me for instance. If you decide to sell them please let me know.
  2. texasz posted a topic in Body & Paint
I'm out of ideas!! I have replaced the hatch glass seal, the outter hatch seal and the inner hatch seal, the fresh air vent in the hatch (series 1 car) and yet I STILL have a water leak!!! :tapemouth What can I do!?
  3. Damn sad that things like this happen. At least you caught them in the act and put an end to the theft. If you have the space putting the car in a garage would be a good idea...someone else may try and take something or these punks may return to get revenge for you calling the cops. :disappoin
  4. Very interesting read Zmefly, thank you for the link.
  5. A friend of ours was over for dinner last night and I asked her about this; she's from Japan and currently teaching Japanese here to high school students. She could not figure out what you were talking about and I was of little help to her. She told me that the spelling out phonetically of the letter Z has several because it can be pronounced differently in different words. Was this what you were trying to convey...the phonetic spelling of the letter Z? Also a plate I've seen at a building I used to work at was V8 Z I'm assuming that they didn't like the drink that much but that the car had a V8 engine in it.
  6. THANK YOU!! I knew I had seen this but could not find the URL, I'm so glad someone else could. It's a great place to get ideas for your own plates.
  7. It didn't sell and now it's back and at a HUGE discount!! Now the starting price is only $100 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39405&item=7900258924&rd=1
  8. Would you believe that I was out sniped by the same guy on the same part again!? Even with my using the AuctionMagic software that was suggested earlier in this thread! Darn it... This guy is obviously not doing any restoration work, he's either stock piling these or reselling them in Japan for a bundle.

  10. Tax yes but consider this...what it the sale price was only $1...how much tax are we talking about?
  11. Maybe so but what if he ever wants to sell the car to someone who lives in another state? Not that any of us would EVER sell our Z.
  12. Lokk here!! A 99% rust free rolling chassis with three pencile sized holes in the floor near the driver's seat, NO pass. seat, cracked windshield, missing pass. head light bucket, missing front bumper, missing grill, missing cowl, missing hood inspection doors (over the battery and washer bottle), missing radiator, missing front marker lights, perfect dash (probably just a cover), and a hole in the hood indicating that this had a V8 in it which also likely means that the front wiring harness is gone. All this for the low, low, LOW starting price of $1000!!!! :surprised Wanna see it!? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39405&item=2472733241&rd=1 If this sells I need to put my rust bucket parts car on eBay!!!
  13. Oooppppssss, my bad. Sorry about that.
  14. Watch the Just SUs video from ZT, he not only shows pix of one but also tells you where to get the parts to put it together.
  15. It's not all that bad, if you have it you need to watch the Just SUs video from ZT. He shows what you are looking for and even tells you where to get it and how to install it.
  16. Ok, here's another one...
  17. There have been many thread about this topic in the past and they should contain all of the info you need. Just do a search on it from the bottom of the previous page.
  18. Keeping with the spirit...
  19. And one last one because someone mentioned the type of channel, so here's a shot of the channel after removal.
  20. Now for those interested in the pieces themselves, here's a shot of the pieces after removal.
  21. Next one is after removal...note that not only were these attached with one screw at each end but also with the 'tape' running the full length of them.
  22. Ok, I've worked on this a bit and have some pix to share. The first is a pic of how these are mounted to the car.
  23. I didn't really expect to move it as a whole unit...was hoping to though. I guess that you'll be seeing parts of it for sale here and there in the future. :devious:
  24. Z-Kid, this is off topic but your avitar kills me everytime I see it...I just can't stop laughing.
  25. There's one on there now for $0.99 and NO bids! I really don't want to have to toss it in the trash but it seems as though if I do not it will sit in my garage for ever. I wonder if the core is worth anything!?
