  1. Happy new year! My hero, Mr. Kurosawa, 1969 Japan Grand Prix winner and me at the Suzuka circuit. Kats
  2. My first impression is the car is running rich. Furthermore, these older vehicles do not burn modern fuels as efficiently. Just go to a local cars and coffee and take a deep breath as all the older cars leave the event and you'll know what I'm talking about 😉
  3. This might help you determine the correct colla for your pressure plate. I made it years ago, but never got round to posting it in the tech articles. Teechnical Bulletin Clutch Collar Height 92mm.pdf

Finally got all the parts and tools in that I needed "wanted" to get the job done. The heatsink that I got doesnt bolt up to the module I have, so I had to drill and tap new holes. Also used a rivnut in the fender to have something to bolt it to. Its not as clean as I would like, but it was a fun exercise. Created a nice clean looking harness and topped it off with cap head screws. Also used some computer thermal paste to make a good connection to the heatsink. Finished producted mounted. I also fixed up the couple exposed wires I found and put new terminals on.
  5. Typically... Dies fast = electrical Dies slow = fuel
  6. Here are some refreshments why Z432. Please note the inner rear gate weather strip is NOS the earliest version. It is now a bit harder than when it was newly delivered but the rear gate can close almost perfectly. Probably after passing a few years the rubber will get used to cope with the rear gate more. Merry Christmas Kats
  7. Hi Gang, It has been a rough ride for the past few years. I stepped back from a lot of fun things to get through. Dropping Z hobby and online activities were just part of the change. I am starting to get my strength back and tuned some carbs a few weeks ago. This was my first car activity in a few years. I am slowly coming back. I have been a hermit and reclusive. I did not keep in touch with so many good friends. I apologise. I did start to come out of the funk a few months ago and updated Jim Arnett. We had a nice chat. I also promised to update the group. Don't feel special as I also withdrew from many of my good friends here in my area. Strange how things change.... but they are changing back. In a nutshell, during the depressing covid time, Janet, my better half, got cancer and went through hell...surgery, chemo then radiation. She got better then it came back. More surgery finally took care of that #$$%%. She is good now. Once she got better, I got cancer. We were like a sorry tag team looking after each other. I did radiation with concurrent chemo from last Nov though Dec. I am finally getting strength back and starting to feel normal. All is good and last PET scan (just 2 weeks ago) finally shows no evidence of disease. Many more other horrible things seem to happen during this time but hopefully it is all behind us. I'll check back to this thread in a week. Please PM me if you wish to catch up. We can exchange phone numbers. It will be nice. kind regards and apologies to all. Philip

  9. Hi Kats - Your Friend looks far to young to have driven in 1969! Great to see you Enjoying The Ride. Happy New Year! Carl
  10. Indeed….. Let me know and I’ll have another headed your way!!
  11. Not dead yet! 😁 I've decided to take a break from the interweb, paying bills and checking weather reports is it for me. You guys are my gang and I appreciate everything. I had a knee replacement a year ago and have wasted all that on the internet. I would imagine quitting smoking about the same. I'll pass the wand to @Yarb Keep the library open my friend.
  12. I was able to find out that these are authentic weber carbs. These are genuine with stamped "Made in Italy" 40DCOE151. Redline got the copywrights or whatever to remanufacturer these and are stamped with made in spain. So i guess these are OG OG which is awesome. Im selling them so let me know if anyone is interested.
  13. Public Service Announcement - I have found that you can delete everything after "html" in those long web links, then reload the page, to get a clean short web address. Pretty sure that all of your personal info is included in all of that extra code. Probably shows your location also. 😵 https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005003667804387.html
