  1. Update. I purchased a small roll of cunifer but the color was just too copper brassy for my liking. My journey continued and then about two or three weeks ago i stumbled on an ebay seller from China that made steel tubing in 25 ft rolls already yellow zinc plated. He referred to it as rainbow zinc but the pictures looked close enough to the traditional yellow zinc to give it a try. I got 50 ft of 3/16 for brake, clutch and return lines, 25 ft of 5/16 for fuel, and 25 ft of 1/4 for a vapor line plus about 40 fittings I'll probably never use. He was really nice and gave me a discount totaled 150.00 with tax and international shipping included. If you want 5/16 you'll have to ask as it wasnt a direct listing I could find. They just showed up today, about two weeks journey and would you know it, they look like the pics and are pretty damn close to what you would expect. Check it out if anyone wants to do similar. I picked up straightening, bending, and flaring tools to try and tackle this myself over the next month or so once I pull everything for the headers. eBay3/16” Car Brake Fuel Line Tubing Kit 25ft Coil Roll Zinc...Specification: Material: Steel Zinc Brake Line Tubing Diameter: 3/16 In. 2. I was able to find out that these are authentic weber carbs. These are genuine with stamped "Made in Italy" 40DCOE151. Redline got the copywrights or whatever to remanufacturer these and are stamped with made in spain. So i guess these are OG OG which is awesome. Im selling them so let me know if anyone is interested.
  3. The reason I asked is that I had a similar problem many years ago. The difference is I was in a stock 71 Z on the freeway when the car slowed and wouldn't go above 3000 rpms under load. It would free rev to 6000 rpms with no hesitation. My Dad knew instantly what was wrong. I blew out the fuel filter under the hood, and it ran great again. It does seem odd that a poor fuel supply would occur when you're working on the electrical system, but I'd give the fuel system a quick pressure and volume test to rule it out. You also mentioned that there was a slight problem above 4000 rpms in the past. Maybe it was caused by a lack of fuel, and just got worse.

It is a passion and a Disease! I first contracted "Z Fever" in 1980, when I bought my first 1973 240Z and restored it. I have since owned 4 240Z's, and for a short time I owned 3 of them at one time. Yes, Z Fever is incurable in my opinion.
  5. Don't take a complete break... How about you check in once in a while at least? Monthly maybe???
  6. Not dead yet! 😁 I've decided to take a break from the interweb, paying bills and checking weather reports is it for me. You guys are my gang and I appreciate everything. I had a knee replacement a year ago and have wasted all that on the internet. I would imagine quitting smoking about the same. I'll pass the wand to @Yarb Keep the library open my friend.

My fever started when I was 4 yrs old in 1976 with the '72 240Z that my Dad had (it was a rebuild project at the time). I've loved these cars ever since. My '71 240Z will always be "My" car, but in truth I've owned (4) 240's and one 280. Two of the 240's were Series I cars (70 & 71)!

  12. Could this be it that I posted a couple of years ago?
  13. Finally, I printed them on the gasket material. Perfect match! Next project is to make a blanking plate for the cold start injector. I’m not going to use that with the Haltech. Cold start enrichment can be programmed in. They look pretty good don’t they?
  14. I have new, never used, but sitting indoors for a long time (7-10 years) Triple WEBER 40 DCOE caberators and cannon intake. This was purchased with a project 240z that never came to fruition. I purchased within the full lot with the car. Will come with a tripple air filter, BUT the mesh is completely dry rot and falling apart, i will try to source a new one. Image is what is looks like. not the actual one. Asking $2200, + shipping Located in Gilber AZ
