  1. Hi Guys, thinking about renaming the thread to "what's the best welding helmet in the market" 😂 Further development on the floor, both sides were ready for spot welding yesterday afternoon, it does feel closer to the denting and painting.🤩 After seat adjustment on the transmission tunnel the water drain holes and the bend had to be deleted, so 2 new drain will be created. Still need to close the speaker holes cuts into the tool box. I reused the original seat sliders & brackets and adapted them for the Recaro, using the same fixation points on the body. Also, had a guest quite unhappy to remain in the passenger seat 🤣
  2. The blue ZX went for $26,250. Pretty good money, it was in excellent shape though.
  3. Several of us have had new aftermarket parts fail soon after install. The seals seem to get damaged because they don't clean the parts before they assemble them. We recommend taking any new aftermarket part apart, cleaning the seals and bores, and reassembling before using. I developed a trick on that clevis pin. Tie a thread through the hole in the pin, then use a wire to thread the thread through the hole in the pedal. Pull the wire through the hole, then the thread, and use the thread pull the pin up to the pedal. Then you can use one finger or a screwdriver to do the final push through the pedal. The thread is thin enough to make it through the hole beside the clevis pin. I could not get my fingers up there even though a PO had created room with what looked a hammer and vise-grips in the past.
  4. Get an auto darkening hood. They can be had pretty cheap these days. I even fitted mine with cheater lenses on the inside so my old eyes can actually see the work.
  5. oh man this is too dangerous🤫 why he is playing with his eyes and his future too. It's a serious threat with exposure to flying particles, noxious fumes, and any spatter from the weld pool, a this guy/welder, is not protecting his eyes from an arc welding torch becomes subject to a painful and potentially debilitating condition know as photokeratitis, colloquially in welding circles as “welder’s flash” or “arc eye.” It's my request to whom ever do welding please please please wear welding helmets.😀
  6. Found it. He’s close to me. That’s exciting. Looks like he knows a thing or two about Z’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That seems like an awful lot of work when you could just sell your tank and buy the correct tank, either used, or new, since there is now a company making new ones, although I don't know if they're making the ones that are exactly identical to a '76 tank since the fuel tanks changed a bit over the years from 70-76. I would also greatly prefer a full size spare over a space saver.

  9. Might be better off to just find a 3.9 R200 and have the LSD installed in it using the old gears. The gears seem to be very durable, I've never seen ruined gears described. Probably why the gear seats aren't available, there's no demand. MFactory produces a helical LSD for the R200, also. Seems to be of good quality, cheaper, and easier to find. There's a guy on Hybridz who developed it with them and I think you can get a discount if you go through him. http://www.teammfactory.com/catalog/mfactory/helical-lsd/Nissan
  10. I remember hearing some people say that whitehead was taking a while to respond to calls/emails at the moment. I’ve bought ball joints in the past from them, no complaints here. But I would try to call them and see what a turnaround time looks like. nice car BTW.
  11. 😂 I'm telling this to people for years now! (Goedkoop is duurkoop!) that's Dutch for cheap is expensive. But do they listen? no. A GOOD classic that is reliable costs as much as a new car.. and if you have 2 lefty's (hands) then it's double the costs..
  12. Sheesh, how about I send the engine to you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So it's not photoshopped! Hurrah, you guys are officially Z mechanics. I'm going to get one that says"Free PAP smears".
  14. I'm laid up with "welders neck" right now, after many days in row of welding the 510 my neck said enough with flicking the helmet down with a sharp bop of the head, I guess I'm not 30 anymore.
  15. You better believe that the last time I was welding I was wearing a welding helmet, welding gloves, and a welding apron. Of course, since it was summer in Georgia, I was wearing a tank top. I got a good sunburn on my arms from the welder.
  16. @dutchzcarguy - I designed this on Signs.com as an aluminum sign Dimensions are 24 inches wide by 6 inches tall. The font is "Headline News". Here is the logo I used: It looks to be $24 USD plus shipping.
  17. This should work for you.

  19. 3 points: #1. It's China Digression: In Canada, we have a psycho Govt taxing the hell out of everything to save the planet. If Canada was disintegrated it would only eliminate 1.7% of the earth's emissions. #2 It's Water: #3 It's Natural Digression: Non-Religions use dinosaur fossil evidence to dispute religious records that is counter-argued by fanatics, however the Non-Religious using the argument often deny science by thinking a green car, or buy local can stop the Earth and Solar system's cycles that build, change, and destroy planets. I wonder if our ancestors could have prevented the build up of 3km of Ice over North America jut 20,000 years ago? I wonder why now we are trying to stop it from its melting for the last 20,000 years? Our emissions are not good but they are not the driver. Temp cycles have been mapped for nearly 1M years and it gets hot and cold. Notice the steep transition from cold to hot. #Bonus: It's not CO2 it is N20 and farming: https://theconversation.com/meet-n2o-the-greenhouse-gas-300-times-worse-than-co2-35204

Throwing a like back... still hunting for orange wagon tail lights 🙂
  21. My neighbors are getting so annoying I'm thinking of building a sign that says "Cliff's Hog Farm". There's no law against signs in my neighborhood but I couldn't actually have a pig farm. I would take it down when they start following they rules, no parking overnight on the street, keep the grass cut, just common sense stuff nobody follows anymore.
  22. This is why it’s simpler to just buy the correct flasher unit that can work with both led and incandescent bulbs. Worth the extra $$
  23. Reminds me of the episode where Gomer moved in with Andy and all night people would stop and rev their motors up and Gomer would tell his diagnosis. Very funny.
  24. Be sure to adorn yourself!
  25. I bought the sign many years ago, and I don't remember where I got it from. It was probably ebay or Amazon. I saw this on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-Parts-and-Service-Vintage-Metal-Wall-Sign-Plaque-Retro-Garage-Shed-Race/223538056895?hash=item340be80ebf:g:pLkAAOSwIbFc84KS I'll take a closer photo later.
  26. Like father ........like son. This car is going to blow the Z community away! Can’t wait to take the twin Safari Gold cars to an East Coast Z event.
  27. The Macau Zcar in the picture above was purchased a few Years back and I just shipped to the new owner in Australia and it just arrived there.
  28. The fuel injector armor clogged and I got the pump installed to the car instead of running it out of the first rail Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
