  1. https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/dorman,602885,wiper+linkage+/+transmission,8856 Harold Burroughs posted on FB yesterday about the availability of new aftermarket S30 wiper linkage from Dorman, PN 602-885. Just thought I’d spread the word. He reported the find from Advance Auto’s website, but Rock Auto has access to it also. Anyone with access to Dorman can get it. The price is impressive, $69 CAD. That’s about a $1.98 in USD, so who can resist? Yes as we know you can rebuild and re-lube the stock stuff, but if your shafts are all rusty (as all us old guys know), no amount of lubrication will make things go smoothly or last that much longer.
  2. I took the 260Z out to a monthly car show that's not too far away from my house. It's hosted by Gateway Classic Cars. There were 4 S30s that showed up, as well as a Z32, a couple of Z33s and a Z34. After the car show, I went to lunch with @Pat Carr followed by a trip over to my favorite warehouse in Georgia. Randy is getting the Fitzy BSR 510 ready for the main show at Amelia Island next week.

  5. Hope you all will take a look and interested in what you think. The entire site was upgraded to: * Be secure * Cell phone compatible * User friendly * Faster loading I still have a few bugs to work out , but happy with it so far. Ron(Zclocks) zclocks.com
  6. In the picture you linked to the connections on the top of the matchbox are labeled C & B. The other 2 on the side are labeled I & W, leave those disconnected and the E12-92 will work just like the E12-80 which only has the C & B connections.
  7. The E12-92 will work exactly like the E12-80 if you only use the C & B connections. I've been running the E12-92 module for years this way.
  8. That's why I decided to purchase one, so we could get some clear idea of how well this would work or not work. I'm willing to be a guinea pig for this.
  9. I was going to suggest that to you. My assumption is that the error is in the measurement method, not the shaft. And it's probably not the lathe spindle itself. The spindle is probably pretty good, I bet most of the error is coming from the chuck and the unrepeatability of the mounting of the part. If you're just tossing the shaft into your three-jaw and tightening it down, it's not going to be centered unless you've got a fantastic three-jaw AND you get lucky (that time) when you put the part in. If you really want to check something like that you'll have to do it between centers.

Kind of looks like they would go under the rear part of the headlight scoop. "Mudguard front - mask" 63872-P7100 & 63873-P7100 Any part numbers cast into them. http://nissan4u.com/parts/280zx/us_s130/1979_6/type_23/body_front_roof_and_floor/front_fender_and_fitting/ I have a screen shot for you but the site is telling me my pic's "can not be save contact us for assistance" @Mike ?
  11. Until I read the last few posts I had forgotten that my 1970 240z HLS30-01955 for 46 yrs has the VIN of HLS30U01955 The correct VIN was stamped in the usual 3 places on the car but it was registered with the U inserted in the same place as @Datsunbat. The car went through 5-6 owners in Ontario and no one noticed, not even the M.O.T. It was only when I sold the car to guy in California that the transport company noticed it. They told me it had to be corrected before the car got to the border or it would be held in an impound lot until it was. I had to hire a certified appraiser to come and examine the car and send his documents to MOT before they would issue me new ownership papers.
  12. I feel your pain wheee (re: exchange, taxes and shipping). This is the first winter in over 10 years that I have not ordered something from MSA or other US suppliers. The extra costs are just too painful. I have also all but given up on eBay given the above, their ridiculous international shipping charges and the overinflated prices.
  13. Looking great! Believe me, I know how it is trying to keep a site updated. I'll be looking for your services soon.. You're doing some good for the community, brother! Mike
  14. Thank you so much, I see ā€œ Uā€ in the Modelo , that is a kind of rare thing. The officer made a mistake about stamping U instead of Q , or just forgetting to stamp ā€œ Q ā€œ for it . And I have never seen the import data of Portuguese 240 Z and others , that is fascinating! Your 240Z is HLS30Q , confirmed. Kats
  15. He probably has 14 pages of engineered drawings he whipped up over lunch one day...
  16. I ended up needing 3 separate water temp sensors, one for the ECU in the stock position, one for the Speedhut water temp gauge and another one for the electric radiator fan controller. So I had to get creative finding a spot for them, made the plugs for the sensors with some 80 grit paper, crude but it works and won't be visible anyway. I got the air box funnel back from Ben, some day when I grow up I want to weld just like him.? Worked out the location for the oil cooler and try as I might I could not have the drive by wire throttle removed from the ECU. If I had gone with a stand alone system I could have used a steel cable, so I'm stuck with it. Everyone says it has a very good feel to it, I hope so.
  17. A few pics from the paint shop. This is the final primer. After it dries thoroughly shop will do final block sand and then paint white
  18. @Dave WM needs another engine. It's already on a Harbor Freight engine stand.
  19. Sand, fill, sand, prime, repeat...
