Did this this week. There are plenty of write-ups on this subject so I'll just keep it to photos. And a shot of some of the nice burns I got from the one place I didn't have well protected during upside down welding:
  2. Isn't the 240Z a running sports car? Or is it track only? Maybe we can figure out what exactly this is with a few more clues. Have you ever been to Panama?
  3. Damn- hate all this talk about strokers, I want to start on mine!! Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  4. http://www.hgtprecision.com/ He has a 240Z customer he built one for. How many $ thousands is in your budget?

I don't think they're supposed to be at a right angle. It's more like 30 degrees:
  6. Just an FYI but this might help in future. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14850-borrowed-a-screwdriver-from-a-mate-and-learnt-a-lesson/
  7. Glad you got it fixed TonyTomB! I hadn't forgotten about you, but saw your post that you had ordered a new fuel pump and I was waiting to see what the outcome would be. Sounds like your back on the road. Hope you have a very happy and prosperous New Year as well! Jim D. "Zup"

  9. I have 3 ex wives because I did not have a pathfinder with 248K when we had lots of kids.
  10. That's an interesting picture because the tracks go under the car not up to the back of the large tire. So I assume the large white wall was set there to stage the picture...It looks like "Eddie Munsters" first car

its a BEAUTIFUL THING!!!!! cylinder head is done as of today!! whoo hoo!! its been 2 months and all looks great! all told, with 1 chamber being repaired due to pitting, new 280 valves, springs, seals, retainers and keepers, and machine work, there went $900+/- next step is to figure the chamber volume and compression ratio and what lash pads i need.
  12. Here is my somewhat "defaced" brochure. The document is about 3/8" wider than my scanner bed so I centered it for the scans - there is about a 3/16" loss on the sides of each page.
  13. Daycare, here we come! My son requests turbo boost about every mile. He loves the way it makes him feel weightless. I bought my 76 in 1989 with 69k miles, all original. Now it has about 170k miles but almost everything has been upgraded in one way or another. I minimize rainy use and ban snow/salt use. I think Hagerty frowns up using the car regularly for commuting, and that's about it.
  14. For 25 years I had 205/60 - 14s on my front and 215/60 - 14s on the back with no problem on 5.5 wheels that I got with the car, last summer I switched to 205 /70 - 14s and like the feel better and they fill the wheel well better as well.
