Well, received my issue of Nissan Sport magazine and initial view is they did a great job! The picture of my wife and car are on page 20, much smaller than I thought, but it looks good! I also see that the 3rd place pic was in the "Insider" newsletter, very cool! I am digging the broad Nissan view - as an ex (and almost repeat) Maxima owner, I am passionate about their products, so there's some appeal beyond the Z for me.

Okay S30 fans, we’re wrapping up the premiere issue of Nissan Sport and we've managed to wedge in a lot of 240Z/280Z coverage into the new magazine. Go to www.nissansportmag.com to see the table of contents. You probably have a few questions and perhaps a few doubts. Understandable. After all, how can a magazine that is covering only the Z and G expand to cover all models and yet increase coverage? We not only increased page count 10 pages over Sport Z, but we've cleaned up the design and gone with a smaller but still easy-to-read font. The end result: 20+ extra pages of content. So, what can you look for in every issue of Nissan Sport? -EXPANDED feature coverage with f…

I recently renewed my subscription for two years, and today I received a post card in the mail telling me my subscription has been transferred to a new rag titled Nissan Sport, "an all-new, all-Nissan quarterly magazine.. I'm not happy about this bait and switch. Clearly, you knew about this change when you sent out the renewal notice, yet that wasn't mentioned. It's bad enough that Sport Z began running articles featuring the "blob" 350 Z, and while I understood the reason, like a lot of others around here, I wasn't very happy about it. With the change, I suppose now we're going to be "treated" to other feature articles on the rest of the fugly Nissan line, too? But…

Press problems and in-house printer scheduling has thrown us off our regular schedule. When presses go down, back-ups happen. At best, we're looking at coming off press on June 3, 2005. It is still possible that the Fort Worth USPS will see the mag by end-of-day Friday. Most likely, it'll be Monday June 6, 2005. Looks like we'll miss our original mail date by 3 or 4 days. Our apologies.

Just a reminder that the deadline to order the Fall 2005 issue is August 17. About 1/3 of the editorial in the Fall 2005 issue of Sport Z Magazine is related directly to the first generation Z car, making it arguably one of our best 240Z issues ever. Honestly, this one issue is worth the full cost of a subscription. If you are not happy with the magazine for any reason, we'll refund your money. But you won't want to do that with our 240Z project car articles (from tech to resto how-tos) coming in every single issue... Go to www.sportzmagazine.com to order or call 505-771-2374. Okay, enough plugging. Everyone have a great weekend. Magazine went out to the printer today via…

SZM writer and 240Z owner Joseph Demers, PhD, has produced some classic articles for Sport Z Magazine over the past five years. But his newest article, to be released in the Fall 2005 issue of Sport Z, is his biggest--10 pages!--and most groundbreaking. It dissects the history and technology of braking systems. More importantly, though, it introduces his potentially revolutionary invention: the Fade Stop Brake Cooler (FSBC). The patent-pending invention that could change the braking industry works on first-gen Zs (among many other cars and trucks). But wait, there’s more… Associate publisher Art Singer begins his PROJECT 240Z series. This long-term project car, to be…
