I replaced the old rusted fuel injection rail with one from Pallnet, but I plumbed it with 1/4 inch steel brake line for the supply & return. I'm thinking that the injectors can't flow enough fuel to give the car real power like it should (starvation). It just doesn't push you back into your seat that much when you floor the pedal. Should I replumb the fuel injection rail with 5/16 or 3/8 stainless? I would also used polished tubing, and maybe even compression fittings, but the pressure regulator and connections to the supply & return to the tank get 5/16 (7mm) rubber hose, which was oem. thx.

Got my car running and its going really well. Idles beautifully, doesnt hesitate and revs smoothly all the way through. I've been taking it for a couple of blats lately and whenever I pull the plugs they come out white. So Im guessing I need to run it a bit richer. Any Idea how I can do this? Keep in mind Im running an L24 ECU and L24 greentop injectors on an L28 (should I try switching to L28 injectors ?). Is there something in the AFM I should adjust ? Cheers Ray

Hello all. I'm having trouble getting my 260z started. Its got an L28E in it with L24 ECU and wiring (relatively similar to an L28E ecu, but not the same) It was working fine 6 months ago when I stored it away. I went to start it again and it wouldnt start. Here's what happened. Everynow and then (only sparingly), I could get it to idle, but as soon as I revved it to about 2k or so it died. This continued on for a couple of hours as I tried to start it. Whenever I revved it a bit a puff of black smoke would come out and it would die. I went back a week later and nothing, it wouldnt even do that or kick over. Got out the noid lights and sure enough they were not pulsing. I…

I am posting a question for a friend that has a 76 280Z & his car runs too rich after the engine warms up in 10 minutes. Could this be the temperature sending unit not operating or something with the ECU ? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Testing the EFI system , high idle until I push in the clutch after 15 seconds idle returns to normal. I am not getting continuity between #5 pin to gnd, 16 to gnd, 34 to gnd, and no continuity from air reg and fuel pump pin test.I don't understand how other parts of the system work while 5/16/34 don't. I have the battery out because I don't want to toast anything but am I leaving the circuit open by not having it connected? trying to go one step at a time .Thanks

Does anyone know of a fuel tank that is baffled and that has an internal EFI fuel pump that can be easily adapted to fit into a 260z? Like an Skyline fuel tank? or a tank from a later 80's Pulsar............

Anyone out there know what size (Allen wrench size) the "Throttle Chamber Bolts" are where it attaches to the front of the intake manifold? Appears to be metric allen head bolts as none of my SAE allen wrenches even come close to fitting...75 280Z EFI webdawg1

Hi all, I dont have a Canister under the hood of my 1977 280Z.. is it ok to put any canister from any car? coz my friend has the same car and has a canister from a GMC Jimmy 1991 I guess.. and i read while searching the forum that it should have 3 connections but i'm not sure of them, coz i have a line coming from the tank to the fule filter, then goes to the fule rail above the injectors, and the second line is the return line to the tank i guess, but a pipe sticks in the place where the canister should be, i have no idea from where it comes or where it goes.. i read that it improves the fule consumption by 10 Miles per Gallon which is approx. 4Km per Liter! which is qui…
