So I got a 240z and the engine was seized, I took it apart and now I have a 280z engine block/head all parts are in there and it's unseized, can I use all the other parts from my 240z engine like carbs and intake or are they not compatible with the head. Thanks Nick Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Hey gang, I am going to share with you what I've done to rebuild a 240z fuel pump with great success. This is also (for the time being) an inexpensive solution to rebuilding an original Nikki 240-260Z mechanical fuel pump. What I have learned so far is; rebuild kits for our old fuel pumps have not been available in American for some time now. They are available in Australia and maybe Canada but importing them here isn't cost effective. Original NOS 240Z Nikki fuel pumps are extremely expensive, and the aftermarket fuel pumps look like crap. There are electric fuel pumps available cheap but they require wiring and fuel pressure regulators and I think they are unsig…

I got 71B 5 speed bellhouse from one of my friends. I decided to move onto 240SX transmission swap into my 280z. First of all, bellhouse comparison. It looks like there are several different 71B bellhouse with a bit different pattern. This is my original 71B 4speed. It's written "L2" This is the 71B 5speed bellhouse I got. It also written as "L2" This is 240SX 71C bellhouse. It written 71B... with some animal? I found some pic in internet that is written 71C for 71C bellhouse.

When my corroded, stock '73 240z cylinder head needed to be replaced, the mechanics installed a new-looking Y-70 head assembly. I think someone else had ordered it for an engine mod and changed their mind. From what I've read it's from a 1980 - early 81 Skyline with L20AET engine, and various other Nissan models. I like it, especially with the AT, not much top end but great mid-range torque. I read Ozconnection's threads about it here and on HybridZ, searched and searched but never found a manual or other specs (that I can trust). So how do I adjust the valves ? No experience so rather not just wing it. Hear some ticking when it's cold but maybe that's normal.

I've just received my first 240z, a 1971 with a 4 speed manual, and I'm in search of any and all parts associated with the car. I live in b.c, so any parts relatively close by i am interested in.

Pulled out my driveline to get easy access to fuel lines (upgrading to 3/8" for turbo charger) on my 1971 240z. Everyone knows the "while I'm at it" way of doing things.... I'm upgrading my rear end. I purchased the rear end from a 280z 2+2. Its an R200 with the CV axles. I will be stealing the mustache bar as well. Does anyone know if I'm going to have issues mounting the CV style axles onto my 240z hubs? Or am I going to have to source out some universal style R200 stub axles to get this setup to work properly? I figured it was easier to strip and paint one set of drivetrain rsther then doing it, then having to upgrade. Cheers

I have been wondering what an early Nissan 2400 OHC cover is valued at. Has any one bought or sold one recently?

Hi Z friends! I would like to find an original working power antenna for my 72 240z. I need all parts if possible. I have tried aftermarket antennas and either don't like the look or have had trouble making them work with my up/down switch on my original a.m./f.m. Stereo. Anyone out there have a working antenna they have replaced and no longer have a need for? Ok Z pals... Do your thing, my girl is missing hearing her music! Thanks! K The lil z lady

I have a straight Series one shell that I want get back on the road for my use, not to sell. I couldn't find any threads although I'm sure they exist on swapping parts. I have many 1973 parts, doors hood, hatch, dash and wiring that I wonder if they will fit on an early chassis. I don't want to do any cutting or adding welded tabs to make things fit. Does anyone know if the things I have listed will work? I'm guessing later door hinges to handle the extra weight. I will get an early brake booster. It will be a dual purpose track day and street car so I'm not worried about the interior.
