what he's trying to say is that the clutch is locked. this is the case on one of my fan clutches... the other one works perfectly. the easiest option i found was ebay.... i just got another one in fine operation for US$26

the set-up is a "sound" investment...

plain ol' 10W30 is the best that i have found.

i've got my eye on it, and finger on the bid button.... however, if what you say about the 260z-280z vs. 240z grill mounting is true, i might have to reconsider. the grille looks as though it's for a 240z, though, since the 260s and 280s have the parking lamps up in the grille....

ahh...... electrical problems. my new z was hacked as well, so i have work ahead of me....... as a matter of fact she has a (non-operable) cruise control system put into her .... amazing what time and mis-guided ingenuity leads to....

you would need to adapt the existing 240 bumper mounts to your car.... might take a little doing. also, the "european" bumpers are available from VB NEW for 399.95 (part no. 99-022)

also, you can't always take VBs word for it (as in the actual dates).... my 8/72 z (vin seen below) would have to be before 6/72 according to their list.....

i see what you'r saying, jason.... like an actual US style black & white.... might be interesting... the best way to see what it looks like would be taking a couple models and hybriding them. might be pretty interesting, but i don't know that the modern light bar would look appropriate on the classic lines of a z.....

could be a bad battery(?)... my alternator was doing that occasionally but it was worse than your case.. i replaced my alternator and it was all smooth sailing from there. sooo, sorry not to give you any false hope that i know what's happening, but maybe you should take your alt and battery to your local autozone and get them checked..

i've heard (from here or hybridz maybe?) of somebody doing that but with bad results...... from what i've heard they wont idle under 3000 w/o popping and stuff......... anyway, i've been considering doing some research on that and thinking it would be cool as heck! anyway, i'm sure someone will let us know....

why don't we just do 6 SUs and call it a day!
