  1. Where is wireless hill?
  2. Yeah vaguely I remember this. I though it was a tiger enclosure he went into, and closer to 1990 than 1980.
  3. Sprintex superchargers (now owned by advanced engine componants - AEC - http://www.advancedengine.com ) make a non roots type supercharger that was used on the supercharged mustang. I've seen one of these superchargers in a datsun ute on an A or L series nissan 4 cylinder engine.
  4. K-mac make them for the 240z and they are in australia. www.k-mac.com.au for the website http://www.k-mac.com.au/makes/nissan.htm for the nissan page They also do sway bars springs and struts.
  5. Could be a faulty tyre. I had an old car that had a lump in the tyre that did exactly the same thing. you only noticed it when going slow, like pulling up to a set of stop lights. Could also be tyres out of alignment or balance, but that would probably get worse the faster you go. Does you steering whell shake. Could be a bent rim also. I'd have it professionally looked at by tyre/suspension guys. You dont want to be driving down the freeway at 60mph and have a tyre blow out.
  6. There is a 260Z 2+2 for sale at Northbridge Auto Wholesale (the old Toy Shop, near Metros Nightclub Perth) its in the front window next to a Yellow porsche. I've heard they are asking around (AU)$17,000 for it.
  7. I have a 240K 5 speed manual gearbox in my 240z which i will replace at some point with a Z item. 240K boxes cant be that hard to find, can they. Or have all 240K in junk yards been crushed by now.
  8. Is your clock not working? Mine wasn't either. I pulled it out, removed the motor from the mechinism connected it to a battery to test if the motor still worked. It did. Then I lubricated the spindles with light grade oil, like the stuff that comes with sewing machines (Thanks Mum), put it back together and it's worked ever since. I left it connected to a battery for a couple of weeks so i could adjust the screw in the back fro accuracy. ----------------------------------------------------- Mr C If its broke, try fixing it first.
  9. Right. pretty soon starting the car will go like this: get in the car, wind the window down to disarm fuel pump cut out switch hidden in the door, Flick drivers sun shade up and the passengers down, depress clutch 18 times, while holding brake pedal down, rotate rear vision mirror 180 degrees, do the macarena and turn the key. Just invest in a quality car alarm/immobiliser system. (and have a hidden kill switch just in case).:bandit:
  10. Personally I like the metal spike under the seat that impales the driver when they dont disarm the device before attempting to start the car. (Much like the cat carrier in the funny posts section). If it would then dice the thief into small peices and dump the in the river even better.
  11. If you have an electric fuel pump only, break the power circuit with a relay, and wire it to a hidden switch. Heard a story about a guy that wired it to his demister switch, and rewired the demister to another switch. Would have driven the theif crazy looking for the right switch when the car got stolen while the guy was at the movies. They eventually gave up and the guy found the car just down the road with the bonnet open. He closed the bonnet, hopped in, turned on the demister switch and drove home.
  12. Now if you could learn to use your scanner properly.......
  13. Did you have an alarm system?
  14. They are both coupes. and i dont know, but probably not.
  15. Used to be mostly at home at night untill the wee hours of the morning. But now I'm a Web programmer doing php-mysql database stuff and asp, so i'm on here at work while i'm supposed to be working and almost never at home. When i get home from work i go out into the garage and work on my Z.
  16. No they wont because they are like the ugly sister of a 240Z. And the volvo coupe is a lot better looking than the wagon and is also worth more. Just because a car is rare doesn't always have to make it expensive. It's still has to be wanted by someone.
  17. I wouldnt use stain on it. I used a Satin clear coat for wood. Gives a satin finish. Might use a high gloss if i had to do it again Have a read of this thread. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5489
  18. The steering wheels are Plastic with a fake wood grain finish on them. I should Know I've stripped and refinished mine. I wrote a post about it before, so have a search of the forums for steering wheels, faux wood and any other search term that comes to mind. I used paint stripper, it doesnt damage the plastic. What ever you do dont sand it with abrasive paper to remove the Lacquer, because if you sand too much you'll remover the wood grain finish as well, and end up with a plain brown plastic looking wheel (like the type that toyota celica's had of the same era). And if you want proof, look at the back ot the wheel on the knobby grip bits and you'll see where years of driving has started to wear the wood finish away. Edit: Does look like wood in the photos though. But I still believe they are plastic.

  20. Where did you get a nissan V8? I didnt think they made them, except in the 60's for the prince line of cars or something.
  21. Theres one in the Movie Pizza. 280ZX 2 Seater.
  22. Lightwave. It's like 3D studiomax, but used for Movies and TV stuff, as well as advertising.
  23. I've been working on a 3D 240z. It's what I created the anamated gif with, that is my avatar.
  24. Ferarri kit! Bullsh1t! Thats a gnose with holes cut in it. everything else is standard 240z with holes cut in it. excepth the tail lights. Cheapskates. If you are going to do the ferrari 250GTO thing get a Vello Rossa bodykit or similar, like the one thats in beginning of the movie Vanilla Sky. Must be one hell of a blind spot out the passenger side where the window used to be.
  25. Yep webbots scan the internet for email addresses and add them to spam lists. a way to get around it is not using @ symbols and ., but more sophisticated bots could scan for at and dot as well. eg email@whereever.com will get spammed email at whereever dot com might get spammed
