  1. Did you order factory Nissan mounts. If not it’s a known issue that the aftermarket dowels don’t line up.
  2. S30.World has new replacement tanks that are amazing reproductions. Just bought one for my 280 after having mine repaired twice. Pin holes kept appearing. Just another alternative.
  3. What exactly are you trying to accomplish or replace?
  4. Hate to say it but your only going to find out once you have removed the transmission. You will be able to see what’s really happening, inspect the pilot bushing etc. just my 2c
  5. Dozens of possibilities why the car doesn’t run that great just on the EFI alone. Get that EFI book and a multimeter and go step by step and record your findings on each. If you don’t your headed down a rabbit hole. Bouncing around like I did wasted tons of time. Just my two cents
  6. Thats the way it’s designed to operate. Is your antenna aftermarket as well?
  7. The aftermarket radio you have has a blue wire on the harness that triggers the automatic antenna when you power the radio on. Chances are when you power the radio off the antenna goes down correct?
  8. You should not have had to shove that transmission in. Did you end up drawing it together with the trans bolts? Hope not…
  9. Bought mine from Nissan 2 years ago. 83ZX 5 speed. Are you running the 240mm clutch?
  10. Run that adjustment nut in the pic out to the desired length. Right now you have it backed off quite a bit.
  11. Prestone back in the day made a back flush kit that hooked to the heater hose connections. Thermostat had to be removed . Run the chemical in the block for a set period and back flush again. Worked amazingly well. My two cents from an old guy.
  12. Have you rotated the tires to the front?
  13. Might have that shroud piece
  14. Grab them while you can. These parts aren’t going to be available forever.
  15. Only one trip per nite!! I’m at at least two!! Practice makes Perfect…😂😂
  16. I’ve learned alot about frame rails from john @bad dog parts.com. Together He and I designed the driver side frame rail template for the 75-78 280. I created multiple templates and with his help through the Covid era He designed one that fit. I test fitted it on a 1975 and my 1978. He explained at the time that those indeed were lock down points when the cars were on the ship. He has a vast knowledge of these cars and has my respect. Knowledge base on these cars goes a long way with me.
  17. Friend that information came from a very reputable source. Those are latch points for a mechanism. Please don’t ask questions and then question the response when you receive one. I guess you will pick and choose what you care to believe. Good luck with your project.
  18. The tabs are factory . Those were used to tie the car down in transport. Your car is a late 77/78 model from what I can tell. The channel is deeper on the passenger side by design. They look like the rails are factory. Bad dogs rails don’t have the tabs. I cut mine off for the install.
  19. Just a touch Hairy!!!
  20. @Captain ObviousIs your life insurance policy up to date??😂😂😂
  21. French Jewelry!!!
  22. I know from converting to cv axles the left side is shorter.
  23. All I can say is Nissan gaskets don’t require adhesive and are reusable.
  24. Powder coated should not make a difference unless the lower face was coated. The Nissan gaskets available at your local dealer don’t require any adhesive., and can be used over and over again as long as they aren’t damaged. Any reason why you did not use the factory bolts? Grab a factory gasket, clean everything and reinstall. Just my 2 cents….
  25. Did you use a factory gasket or aftermarket?
