  2. Is he the guy that spoke at the awards dinner in Memphis? I think Eiji translated for him. I remember some good laughs from the crowd as he spoke and a lot of clapping when he left the podium.
  3. These bullet connections are what @S30Driver is speaking of, not the ones on the housing. Hope this helps.
  4. Shouldn't the choke cable be all the way down? Looks like yours is up.
  5. Found better...
  6. Mines on the straight one. Heres a picture I found and looks to be the straight side too.
  7. here's a thread with some good information on installing the pan correctly and the 2 seal flanges are first up.
  8. I didn't want that metal on my paint either so I went to Lowes and bought something similar to these. The rear bumper side mounts and the front bumper sides are all I remember needing the rubber. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-2-Pack-1-in-Rubber-Washer/3130433
  9. The mask would make somewhat of a "muffler" for our heavy sleeping friends. I will double up mine! Be like sleeping in Colorado. @wal280z @Captain Obvious
  10. Anyone heard an update or I guess a down-gate on this zcon? I don't think it looks too promising. Maybe we all rent RVs and stay in our own bubbles? I remember worrying about bed bugs at hotels a year ago.
  11. Wow! That looks like a crustacean family has been living in there. Can't wait to see pictures after you get the block's core plugs out, I like to get grossed out.
  12. I bought my y.o.m from the tag doctor in Georgia. Super nice guy that restores them to like new. Very happy customer. https://www.tagdrstore.com
  13. One of my most used tools ever. I swear it seems like I use it everyday. Small with brake off blade that extends out 4" at least. Olfa wallpaper knife I got in 1987 is in my tool bag today. You never lose the good stuff.
  14. That's Dutchzcarguy's photo of the thread subject car I posted. My '72 does not have one. Sorry for any confusion. His post got fouled up somehow.

  16. I bought two "J" hoses from my local Nissan dealership a couple of years ago. They weren't much money but I don't remember the amount. Call your local place and tell the parts person to punch in these numbers, 16356-25610. They should be able to get them overnight, no shipping charges for you to pay either. Maybe they can still get them? I like these better than ztherapy's, Nissan's are pre-formed and will never kink. Good luck.
  17. I'm sure the Round-Up was on the same shelf, Zantac and baby powder too. I was working in a paint store back in the 90's when the EPA cops came in and took all of our wood preservative Creosote off the shelf, put them in their car and drove away. The owner came in later that day and was pissed to put it mildly. Told me they weren't EPA, they were thieves in broad daylight and did I actually read their badge. He was mad at me! Our refrigeration guy claims he has a drop in for the older walk-ins with R-12. It's in a pink bottle, 401 something I think he said. I'm going to try it someday in my 280 with factory a/c. We have about 212 percent humidity today and that drains my old arse out faster than a hangover.
  18. When I rebuilt my motor I decided to delete "potential" problems. I'm a Murphy's Law believer and over my lifetime that has proved beneficial for me at least. You know what us poor people say "more money, more problems". More things that can fail. Break, leak etc. so if I don't need it it gets gone. It's hot down here plus my 240 lives in a warm garage so after reading a lot of threads I decided to do away with the extra heat. The thermostats go bad and the coolant flows through the carbs all the time, at least on the set-ups I have owned. I talked to Bruce at Ztherapy beforehand and he said just use NPT brass plugs in the soft aluminum. They would make their own threads, no need to tap the holes. I did the thermostat housing and the rear carb's intake. I left the pipe in between the intakes though. That rascal wouldn't budge when I tried to turn it out and I didn't force it so it still looks good and isn't all bent up. I plugged the red circles and removed the hardline behind the cylinder head. My car runs great and my carbs get cold to the touch in the winter, they are cool to the touch even in the middle of summer. I'm now race car mechanic but I'm very familiar with nitrous and know the cooler the fuel the better a motor will preform. Like I said it hot down here.
  19. A bunch of us run this 75/90... https://www.redlineoil.com/mt-90-75w90-gl-4-gear-oil
  20. He could have gasket issue from the pump to the head causing a small amount of motor oil leakage but if the OE pumps have oil in them I learned something new today. Thank you 26thZ.
