Gauge lights not working (except for tach)
If I was guessing, you have a ground issue. Are you testing your bulbs hanging loose like that? Are you grounding them when testing? Pretty much all of these bulbs ground through the case they are mounted in. Do you have a multi meter to check that you have current coming in?

The work looks great. I have some questions though. Someone correct me but I thought people that ran fender flairs and wider tires ended up cutting the wheel arches back or the tires will scrub the wheel arch. Is that correct? Also the body line crease on the car is pretty distinct on the front and rear of the quarter but if I remember right it pretty much disappears above the wheel arch

SU Carb rebushing
Ouch! That's why I thought creative shipping might be good. Ship it somewhere close and go get it outside of Germany or try to find someone who is traveling and have them pack them in their luggage...

510 SU's and engine specs
I bought a closed combustion head out of Australia. It needs a little welding due to some minor corrosion but I am saving it for a build like this for Cody's car. Hopefully by the time I get it ready he will be mature enough for some added power. I thought I would build the lower end of a motor then get Rebello or Datsun Spirit to breathe on the head for me. What compression are you running? How are you handling the AC evaporator and blower?

I think you aught to make a build thread for it. I know I could use the pointers for Cody's car...

510 SU's and engine specs
Thank you, I thought it accomplished several things at once. Didn't junk up your thread, populated this section of the forum and didn't offend anyone...win,win So with the larger engine you were able to use the larger SU's? Which head did you use? Rough numbers what does 200HP cost? So you will try to use a dual cable setup instead of some kind of single cable actuating both?

SU Carb rebushing
I would still consider Ztherapy even if I was in Germany. Just might have to get creative with shipping. I think to do it really well you will need some tools unless you have a very well equipped shop. 2 axis clamp table, drill press, reams, source bushings, possibly jets and floats. You will spend half of what they charge just to tool up and buy parts. The other half pays for their expertise and labor, as well as the linkage plating and other misc parts....FWIW

510 SU's and engine specs
@zKars So we have this 510 here. What motor is in it? Stock or not? Where did you source the SU's for it? I assume they are the smaller SU's...how are you handling choke lever control?

over flow bottles
It's fascinating that they only did that on select models and didn't feel the need for it on the rest of the line

I would enjoy seeing all the pics LS1 or not. You have really good fabrication skills, so seeing how you solve the different problems would be good. Also the car you are doing would have gone to the crushers if you hadn't saved it! So if you want an LS1 after all this work, by all means do it.
