  1. Hmm... I can only set moderation for new posts, not edits. That's strange... I'll keep looking to see if there's another setting elsewhere.
  2. Not a bad idea... let me check to see if I can flag wiki edits for moderation. That should help offset any issues.
  3. Not saying that trusted free members will cause issues, it's more about others who can edit content without going through some kind of vetting.
  4. That also brings up another question, should we let free members edit the content? It may be ok, but, it may also open ourselves up to a lot of grief...
  5. Ah, let me check permissions... Zed Head is in the regular members group and I need to make sure that group has edit rights.. Edit: Ok, database permissions updated. @Zed Head please give it another try.
  6. FYI, there's also a wiki-style system. The purpose of the wiki allows everyone to contribute or modify others' entries. Here's a sample: https://www.classiczcars.com/wiki/ I like the wiki-style because the system maintains a history of edits. If a new entry isn't quite accurate, we can revert back to the old one. Take a quick look and you can test it out yourselves. m
  7. I also wanted to let you know that we do have a database system. You can see this in action with our "Knowledge Base" under the Resources tab. I do like this system, however, it will take effort to keep it updated. The knowledge base is a good start, but it's a bit outdated ATM. Each database has the capability to use categories just like you guys were mentioning above. https://www.classiczcars.com/articles/ I can gladly start a forum, or a database, for this project.
  8. I'm in support of this, great idea! Any chance we can shorten the title of the forum? I've noticed that long titles are truncated.
  9. Speaking of the girl next door ... Guy, you should invite our gal from Hungary to pose with the wall art. https://www.classiczcars.com/gallery/image/37447-hungary-for-orange/
  10. Nice!! I can't wait to see what she looks like....
  11. Great to have you join us! Love seeing pictures of projects under restoration.... ?
  12. Watts are the total number of babies created by Volts/Amps... Oh wait, wife is the OHM.... so, maybe it's the total number of car parts purchased? lol
  13. There were a few loaners floating around the club for a few years. I found the topic below. Not sure if the guys still have the loaner pullers or not. If it won't come out with a few whacks with a hammer, don't pound on it for hours. Heat it up it should come out easier and/or use the puller.
  14. Just take off the interior door panel and you can reach in there to get it out.
  15. Nah, I'm good but I'm sure others may appreciate it. I do need the Nismo fuel pump bracket though.
  16. Oh, that's different than your title. Sounds like you're trying to help people rather than making snarky comments. It's going to be a big job educating everyone. I'd say there are about 50% wearing masks here in the Seattle area.
  17. Yes, verbal comments about this are wrong and there's no need to shame people. It's passive aggressiveness...the worst kind of bullying. I would classify this similar to discrimination. Just understand that anyone shaming others should be prepared for retaliation, weather it's a strong come-back or even a punch to the face. You never know what kind of pent-up frustration someone may be holding in and your comment could be the thing that sets them off. People are really stressed out right now and this just adds to the fire. Just move along and take your own precautions.
  18. Oh this is a good one!!!! Very nice topic. Here are mine, at least for the '71 model: Dashboard Center Console Fuse cover with ashtray with flip lid Not stock, but one more: Nismo fuel pump bracket mount
  19. Just a quick idea, during the CNC machining, can they grind a small "D" on the bottom? I know it's been suggested, but, the idea is to use a small bit and only penetrate part-way through the thickness of the metal. If you do it during the machining, you won't need to write or paint it on the product.
  20. I'm not too sure if Les Cannaday is still doing restorations, but, he has done a lot of restorations in the past. They were one of the shops to do restorations for the Nissan restoration program just before the 350z came out. He's done some cars for celebrities in the past as well. It looks like his website needs some work. However, the contact info looks correct: http://www.classicdatsun.com/contact/
  21. On a good note, I've been doing a lot of things around the house as well. Finally started working on the new window casings in our guest room. I'd start putting down tile for our guest shower, but, I have no idea how to do a shower pan the correct way. I'm also doing a lot of work on our boat -- replacing batteries and the water heater. Next I'll see if I can find a mount for the JDM Nismo fuel pump on my Z. Those suckers are hard to find!
  22. Ugh, I think my washer is doing the same thing. I heard it's a big problem with the Samsung or LG brands...
  23. Naked mole rat cam... Hmm... seems like me right now stuck in the house and only allowed to go to certain places.
